Another vote for Revenge of the Gator, that's a fun little game.

Can't go wrong with the megaman games, too.

Also, Life Force. Life Force was one of the first games I bought when I finally got a NES. So cool if you like those games.

I've just played Unepic for a few minutes. It seems to be a pretty solid platformer-RPG. I can see myself enjoying this game a whole lot. It doesn't take long for the first Castlevania reference to appear, too. :p

even if they're technically not VC, don't forget about the Sega 3D Classics.

This! I've played through Shinobi 3 & Streets of Rage so far and had an absolute blast with both. M2 did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend them to every 3DS owner. Galaxy Force 2 is apparently very good, too, though I still need to play that one. :)

Usual status as always :/

I'm disappointed that we still don't have (on the NA 3DS eShop):

Retro City Rampage
Treasurenauts
Grinsia
SMB 3

This, except replace wii sports with, every single game that Nintendo can get on the system including VC games. They just need more.

This update is probably the worst in ages, if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I love Life Force, as it's my favorite shmup of all-time. However, I have no interest in the 3DS version, only the Wii-U version since I have the Wii version already. I just don't understand how cross-buy isn't a thing. They've linked the two eShops, so why couldn't they do cross-buy? Instead, I have to wait, who the hell knows how long, until I can play this with Miiverse, etc.

Neither of those NES games is going to sell much, so why not put out a couple more on top of them?

The first three aren't even finished yet. RCR is the only one that's close to being done.

I know that, but just look at the information on Nintendo's website. Treasurenauts still has its release date set as December 2013 while Grinsia has its release date set as Fall 2013.

It's more of a matter of being irritated and bored by continual delays more than anything. It doesn't help that there were no new eShop original releases this week.

Why is it sad? It's a fun remake of SMB1 - and plenty of people are buying SMB1 as it is.

I only meant it was sad because I'm complaining about them not offering it free but I'd gladly pay for it, which might be NOA's thinking. Trust me, I know it's a good remake. I still have my old cart of it. I believe it had Lost Levels in it too, along with challenges and other extras.

UnEpic just came out today in Euroland!

Ah, alright. I just often think that people don't fully appreciate the extras that SMB DX brought.

It'll either be a CN promo later in the year or more likely a dumb preorder bonus from gamestop for some vaguely related game like New Yoshi's Island.

SMB DX was how I wish they'd have handled the ports of the other Mario Bros. games on the GBA.

I always felt SMB2 (Super Mario Bros. Advance 1) was messed up by the giant vegetables. They just threw the timing on things way off.

Now, SMB3 (Super Mario Advance 4), with all its eReader extra levels and everything, was all sorts of awesome.

Very true. I ate up the e-Reader levels, back then!

The giant vegetables and all the talking. Like Birdo, shut the hell up. Just spit eggs.

I hated how annoying it was to actually get the content (I used a GBA Player and linked my GBA to the GCN & I had to figure out if the e-reader had to be in the GBA Player or my actual GBA & oh man did it take time to figure it out), but man, was it awesome to get those extra levels & power-ups. It's a shame we'll never get a port that includes this stuff as unlockables.

...life force? What the...? Well, it's not even the fact that they released Life Force. Plenty of people enjoyed that game. No, they could release TWO VGCs a week. Super. Mario. Bros.3! Is is really so hard? /sigh

Oh man, I really wish we had a Rune Factory 4 sale. Right now it seems digital is the only way to get a copy of that game in English unless you manage to grab a second hand copy.

Really? I just bought one this week at Gamestop, most of them in my area have stock.

Woo, turn-based battles!

I'm so used to being disappointed with anything that looks like a fun RPG being ruined by being an "Action-RPG" with "real-time battles."
Glad it looks like this game has traditional turn-based battles.

That's the one which was on Vita, right?

edit: don't know about the overworld, but the battles could look good in 3D

The way the maps seem to be the maps from the game with a weird filter applied over them makes everything feel very cheap IMO.

System-language based. Yes, you need to change your system language.

Yeah, changed it to English and that did it... too bad it isn't an option in-game but oh well, can't complain.

I see myself liking this game a lot :)

The dev is on Miiverse, actively checking the community and posting a lot. Post about it, he's looking for feedback to implement in the first update. Yesterday, someone from Portugal also complained that his game was in Spanish because his system is set to Portuguese but he wanted to play in English. Let the dev know! NNID: unepic

I am in total disbelief that it hasn't come out in North America yet. How hard is it? HOW?
