No Back To The Future 4

a cool idea for a part 4 would be the characters causing the paradox that doc warned about and them having to undo the damage to put the universe back on track and they could create tension by having the delorean fuck up

The results of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe!... Granted, that's the worst-case scenario. The destruction however might be limited merely to our own galaxy."

There's already a Part 4 in a sense, the Telltale Game takes place after 3 a d features parts of the very plot mentioned here.

Don't mind it not happening at all after the shit that was 2014 Robocop and the 2011 The Thing Prequel. Haven't seen the new Beetlejuice yet but doubt it'll have that same magic.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Didn't they say " over our dead bodies " regarding a Sequel or Reboot years ago.
I mean, do you blame them.

Surprising they havent tried to cash in with a new movie. I would had thought they'd remake the series with a new young cast and see where it goes. Depending on the series reboots recently, some make good money, some stink.

We need another BttF to put right the injustice of Marty McFly, a mediocre white kid inspiring the immortal Chuck Berry. That was literally worse than Hitler doing Blackface while spreading COVID misinformation.

Tbh, I imagine if Michael J Fox was in better health they'd be doing it. Probably would have already done it.

I am surprised they haven't rebooted it with Zendaya as Marti and Melissa McCarthy as Doc Brown though.

I never want to see a sequel or a reboot of Back to the Future. To be honest 1 was enough, I can take or leave 2 and 3.

Perish the thought of what monstrosity they would create with the IP this day and age.

Well yeah, I mean he said all of this during the behind the scenes shit on the original dvd box set that released 😂

Basically nothing can be done until him and Bob Gale are dead and even then good luck.

Edit: and please fucking don’t

Double edit: but I know you will eventually motherfucker

Ya How did that make the cut and who told him to do it......
He was trying to signal that he needed to use the bathroom.

It's fine - no one notices it unless it's been pointed out. Kinda like the Stormtrooper bonking his head on the door in Star Wars.

(the bonk sound effect was added in the special editions IIRC)

There was the Tell Tale Back to the Future game. Everybody seems to forget that.

That was Back to the Future 4.

Yes i remember reading that now.

Can I say that this is probably for the best? After this long, I think any sort of sequel would only lead to a disappointment. I think the series is fine how it is being capped off at three, with some subsequent things like a cartoon series, some telltale games, and a ride at Universal Studios. I don't want to see BTTF get dragged into the same direction as Indiana Jones. I feel like the time has passed for a sequel.

But if they did make one, it would probably have a lot of de-aging CG and probably try to connect itself to the originals with more time-loop shenanigans. I guess Doc would have the time train, as the DeLorean was smashed to bits. Does his crotch-pointing son take over Doc Brown's role? Does Marty Jr. come into play? Does the Biff family tree of bullies live on in immortality to pester the Mc Fly's of the future? Maybe Biff steals the time train and becomes a Donald Trump type again (like he did in the alternate 1985) , and makes America McFly free? IDK.

Maybe they could also explain why the real 2015 sucked so much compared to the fantastical one from BTTF2? To fill the woke quote/ agenda, they could say that Marty's daughter Marlene McFly
is transgender... given that Marty McFly played the role in drag. I guess it wouldn't be too far off. The sequel would have that shoehorned in somehow. Or are we done with the 'woke' stuff?

I dunno about perfect as an ending...it literally ends while Doc is still roaming around having time traveling adventures that we never get to see.

The destruction of the DeLorean kinda signifies that Marty and Jenifer's time travel exploits come to an end. Though Marty's story really ended with the first movie. He oddly gets roped back in for a sequel with the Doc to save his unborn future children from going to prison. Which never made any sense to me. But whatever, it lead into the Almanac story line. The second movie really focused more on Biff Tennen and his variations in different time periods. The third movie was Doc's conclusion with Marty being there to rescue him. The end meant that the Doc was never done with time travel.
