Not surprised at Destiny on 360. I said it before launch that the 360, just due to sheer sales has legs, and it's basically carrying Destiny know beyond the early next gen push. This is why current gen is still viable for them.

Yep, on launch week it sold the most of any individual SKU although bundled games are counted. However for a new I.P coming above FIFA, it sold well. And it still remained in the top 10 during week 2 when COD launched.

Question: forza horizon was released sept 30, and only had 5 days of tracking on the September NPD right? I thought id see if in the chart this month.

Microsoft did very little to no promotion for the game. I only knew it was out when people I knew had already bought it. Not to mention they even tries to cannibalize it's sales by releasing the Forza 5 GoTY edition last month as well.

Still nice for Smash, was hoping Mordor would be a bit higher but good showing. Destiny being higher on Xbox is unexpected

Just an fyi, I dunno the best way to interpret this, but Mordor came out on Sept 30 and charted 5th in Sept NPD. So I think that it's holding is a sign that it's doing okay numbers.

Edit: Mordor also gets the last gen release next week, unsure if that will make things messier.

I found these interesting.

Funny how the 360 owners are jumping on Destiny, really shows how the core FPS market was on that system.

Also, the 3DS version of Skylanders did really poorly. I didn't expect to see the Wii U version so high, and I guess looking at the wii sales, we can almost deduce that it's the only thing left selling on wii. The 360 probably moved over half the units for this game.

Are you crazy? Even with the sheer number of 3DS owners/sales it didn't break the top spot, it's going to be in very tough against CoD, Halo etc.

While it's crazy to think Smash Wii U will hit #1, I think you're underestimating the Smash 3DS numbers. It's #2 this month, but it doesn't account for the 705K sold in the first 2 days (570K of which were retail copies) because those counted under September's sales.

XB1 is the FPS console. That and destiny bundles weren't counted in.

Did you seriously expect Bayonetta to chart? Great reviews can only do so much for a niche game on a system with a relatively small install base.
