Here's Shinigami from Rain Code Plus. The game releases next week on Steam & PS5, btw.

Here's the lovely pyromaniac Burnice from ZZZ. Just pulled her a very short while ago. :messenger_smirking:

I tried this game in beta I believe, cool presentation but felt kinda braindead in terms of gameplay. Maybe it was the different gacha elements that made me drop the game. But the animations and details in this game are something else.

Tbh, the gameplay for the story part is meant to be piss easy to attract the masses (keep in mind it's also meant to be played on a mobile). However, during endgame activities, you'll need to have 1) proper team composition; 2) execute your rotations correctly to optimize DPS and your stun windows; and 3) dodge, parry, and make use of i-frames when you can. Simply going with the flow won't cut it.

And yes, it doesn't have the depth and complexity of something like DMC, but I wouldn't classify it as braindead either, especially in the later parts of the game when you unlock more and more end game stuff and the combat becomes challenging. I'd say give it another shot if you enjoy a visually appealing game with cool characters and a mix of slice-of-life plus action combat. But if the gacha aspects turn you off, then idk... although I'll mention that all the story stuff can be finished with the characters the game gives you including trial ones.
