Nvidia RTX 30XX |OT|

Ah shit, I gravely overestimated the pricing on these. I wish I waited now. I was honestly expecting the 3070 to be out of my price range and it's not.

3090 is overpriced nonsense but 3080 and 3070 look like not only incredible performers but really good value.

RIP AMD. Good thing consoles will keep them afloat.

Where do I go from a 2060, GAF? Is it even worth upgrading yet? Had it for around 19 months but I'm tempted because ooh shiny!

Most PC owners will be flogging their 10/20xx cards to upgrade so I guess we'll probably be getting a 3080 for 100-200 less than the rrp.

Sweet.

It's too early to start congratulating Nvidia. It looks good, but I'm going to need some real-world testing to see how these new cards actually perform.

If true, this is a great step by Nvidia, and I'll be getting the 3080.

RTX 3070 Day One! I have zero need for 30/36 tflops and by the time I do the 4000 series will be out

I wish Nvidia would give some of the tech mojo to Nintendo. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
Nintendo is gonna stick with nVidia for sure. I don't know how Ampere will translate to mobile, but it's gonna be a lot better than Maxwell for damn sure.

It is vaguely possible we could see a Switch 2 that is comparable in power to the Xbox One S.

I'm all in on the 3090. The 3080 only having 10gb ram gives me pause and i have plenty of money to burn.
Disappointed we can't pre-order right now.

So i've had my pc a while now but haven't really been tht big into gaming on the pc. only recently started as i got rid of my ps4, so my spec are Asus prime A320M-K , RYZEN 5 1600X, 16GB 3200Mhz CORSAIR VENGEANCE , WDBLUE 1 TB M.2 CORSAIR SV 450 PSU, NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB. Can i run any of the gpus, im able to play 1440 p doom eternal with most setting on ultra nightmare, all but two of them and it seems good to me. Sorry for the noob question.

Please please give a 3080 with 20GB. I will get that in a heartbeat.
I believe AIBs are supposed to come up with a 20GB 3080.

they can easily overpower the One S if they'll make an Ampere Tegra, and with DLSS2.0 the effective graphics quality can be way above the One S

we don't even know the improvements the new architecture brings, so even if it was on par with the Xbox One in terms of TFLOPs it would most likely still outperform it by far.

don't forget that the Tegra X1 is an EXTREMELY old chip by now (it was released 5!!! years ago), and the Switch doesn't even run it at its spec clocks but underclocks it.

hello nvidia: thats not how you calculate performance per watt :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Guess this would be the best moment for me to put my 1070 to rest, but economy is taking a toll on us all

This will probably arrive in Brazil costing 20x more than the suggested price

Strange thing I noticed was if you look at the stream when they showed off the cards specs price and availability you see the 3090 is the only one with a date from Nvidia partners

I was just looking and Asus announced their 30-series even before the stream.

Next gen consoles looked good yesterday.

Today, not so much.

Of course, these things don't exactly work by themselves out of the box.

Use this all in one page

DAM, I may take an 3080 myself. I only want to play Cyber Punk @ 60+ fps

but I have an 8700k on CPU end.

I'm looking at the 3080 with a 4770k lol. 200% resolution from 1440p and RT should keep my cpu decent for a couple more years.

Benchmarks needed before ordering first tho. lol

With that gap in power between the 3080 and 3090 and price, I'm even more confident we will see a 3080TI/3080 Super next year.
