I think he wants a Discord channel to coordinate during the event proper as opposed to checking the thread for updates. The idea has been tried before without much success.
You have to ask your girlfriend permission to go out with friends? I find that odd unless you guys had plans already.
It depends on how serious they are. Living together? Engaged? LTR? Yea, probably give her a head's up. Different apartments? New relationship? Nah son.

That makes sense. Relationships are a commitment with compromises. Being constantly dating, it's not something I think about since I've never been in a serious/committed relationship.

Yup, Slack was tried not Discord. Discord seems to be what all the cool kids are into these days since it requires a username AIM style as opposed to an email address to add people. Whatsapp requires a phone number so pick your poison.

Tired or not, I'm still hoping to be there. My ideal game plan is to get a few dollar pizza slices at the 2 Bros on 38th and 8th and be there by around 6:45. However, since I know a few friends that are going to be working that gig, they might want to get something to eat together meaning that I would be a latecomer. This is why I'm on the fence but I'm playing it completely by ear tomorrow.

Well i live in nyc but if all what goes down is drinking ill pass, i dont drink 🚮. Also the J train isnt working so it legit takes me like half an hour just to get to broadway junction cause these shuttle buses are super slow thank to traffic

I mean meet up at bars so usually drinking involved. But I mean a ton of talking about stuff. Some games. Card and board. Food. Walking around the city or whatever area we're at.
Aren't forced to drink or anything. Some folks just like to hang out and make friends.
Usually bar hop and talk. An arcade is usually one of the stops
Or anime... not sure why these nerds always talk about anime!

Is it a once a year thing? Cant do it this time, but next time I'd probably go.
Once every 2-3 months. We're not doing it every month ala Toronto GAF so as not to get fatigued from it. Smaller meetups are usually arranged through the NYC GAF thread between then.
