donny2112 said:It still might be, but don't count on it. The deadline is to try to beat the release of Canadian numbers for June, since they were a very useful barometer for U.S. sales in May. If those don't get released through Friday and most want the deadline extended, I'd be fine extending the deadline until Sunday at 4 p.m. EDT. As I said, just don't count on it. It is safest to assume that the deadline will not change from 4 p.m. EDT today.
Also, I'm currently the default winner of the software predictions, because I'm the only one who has done all the requirements for that. Hint for those with software guesses: Make an overall software $ guess.
argon said:Just a heads up, theSimExchange (video game prediction market) is supposed to get sales data this month for these games directly from NPD:
Forza 2 (X360)
Mario Party 8 (Wii)
The Darkness (X360)
The Darkness (PS3)
Pokemon Battle Revolution (Wii)
Big Brain Academy (Wii)
Transformers: The Game (PS2)
Transformers: The Game (X360)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (PS2)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (X360)
We should be able to use these numbers to estimate numerical sales for the full top 20 list, if we get them.
DayShallCome said:So are the numbers definitely not coming till the 23rd, then?
NPD said:As part of our ongoing effort to better serve clients and media partners, NPD will be implementing several changes to its production processes this month... In order to implement the changes, NPD will be shutting down its production system for 48 hours... While video games data was scheduled for delivery on Thursday July 19th, this months delivery will be delayed until Monday July 23rd.
donny2112 said:Can you post exactly what is being said? The SimExchange is big on that site's numbers, so they may be getting numbers from that site and assuming that that site's numbers are from NPD.
We are able to trade game futures once again because the NPD Group has kindly committed to providing us sales data for these games even if they do not make the Top 10, so you do not have to worry about a contract expiring at 0 DKP anymore.
