It is low, but missing a million wouldn't be completely unprecedented just from the Thanksgiving week sales. Nintendo said the DS 653K record beat what GBA did two years ago: 600K. However, it didn't even make 900K for the month; that week in particular was that much higher than the rest, presumably due to special Black Friday deals.
