It's no longer identical. Murata has slightly altered the story in non-significant ways and has now started adding his own filler chapters (which are awesome in their own right).

That and how they revert to ONE's Saitama at times in the manga and show edit. Oh wait's that you what you basically meant to say.

I do think One's manga has much better pacing than Murata though, Murata tends to go heavy into the eye porn where ONE just gets to the point.

If you are talking about Garou, then Saitama didn't put any effort into fighting him because he knew Garou wasn't actually trying to kill anybody.

that's not really true though.

Saitama used at least one "super move serious series" against him. which means that in a way he was ''serious'' and he did put more effort into fighting him than any other fight. now how serious he actually was and how much % of his power used we have no idea.

What would be a more accurate translation?

this is what he says in the original version. which is pretty much what horriblesubs translated in the first episode "just a guy who's a hero for fun", more literally he says "hobby" instead of "for fun" but I think that the latter works better. people can take a lot of liberties while translating but "just an average guy who serves as an average hero" is pretty much made up, I suppose the meaning is more or less the same.
I remember seeing a picture about this so I thought maybe the OT title was using that as a joke or whatever.

Genos' monologue absolutely killed me as did Saitama's reaction to it. I can't wait to see where this story goes after seeing the first two episodes.
