So I assume getting your skills to level 5 requires a lvl 5 gem? Man they are tough to find. My skill have been at 4 for a while now. I’m lvl 15

I did connect my Pc poe2 account with an xbox account, but i dont have any progression there. Any why to fix it?
Had the same problem yesterday and panicked, thought I lost all my characters. There's a very small option in the corner of the screen to select your account. One will be your Xbox/psn and the other PC. You'll be able to access all your characters. It took me the night to update them

Grenade build was op for act 1 and final boss. I can chug 4 grenades and I kept spamming the boss with it. Killed it really easily

I died to the Act 1 boss when he had just a sliver of health remaining. I had poisoned him, and his health ticked to 0 and he died while I was staring at the Game Over screen. He dropped his drops and the post-boss dialogue played. When I restarted, the boss was still dead and gone, but all the drops had disappeared.

Debating whether I should roll a new instance and see if I can kill him again to make up for the lost drops, or if it'd be better to just keep going.

He dropped nothing valuable to me like skill points or permanent upgrade. Just 1 yellow gear. I say don't bother.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
I spent a second coin on the trial in act 2 so I could do it again. Tried, failed and went away but, now that I'm back, the coin you use to access the trial seems to be gone. Have I lost it forever?

Talk to Balbala.

edit: I just saw you already did the trial, if it's another coin then yeah it's one time only, you win or fail, you lose it and need another one to retry.

I'm curious how they intend to monetize this as a FTP game. Right now it's in a D4-Launch state of "I bought it and played it once for the campaign and enjoyed it" which is fine for now but I don't see how it will generate income as a free live service game?

Effective F2P monetization usually revolves around "Create a Problem and Sell Players a Solution". It certainly did in In POE1 where the loot pinatas and deep crafting/currency systems made hoarding of items and currency orbs important to progress. Stash tabs were always a near-mandatory buy-in.

There's barely any need to buy stash space in this game because there is very little to store since very little drops that isn't immediately vendor-trash. The $60 skins in POE1 were okay because they came with $60 worth of MTX coins which could be spent on tabs. I'm not sure how popular they'd be just for aesthetics alone, especially for the majority of players I see still rocking their unskinned Tabula Rasa and that helmet that looks like a bucket?

I know they must have a plan, but right now it doesn't look like it's the POE1 model.

But what if there was some way for some players to temporarily improve their drop rates.... to boost them... if you will 🤔 I'm really hoping that the Tencent ownership isn't so influential that this is the plan?

Scepters grant you spirit, which is the main resource of your minions, so if weapon switch to a staff or something else, you're going to lose them. Don't bother with the weapon swap system at the point where you're at. Concentrate on finding scepters with +spirit. Contagion + Essence Drain is a great combo for Witch in the early game. If you didn't use your spirit gem yet, try Raging Spirits. If you already used your spirit gem, I have an spare level 7 one you can have but you will need to be level 26 to use it. Raging Spirits + Firewall is fun.
Level 26 is a ways off and I'm not in the guild (so far I'm pretty happy treating this is as more or less a single player game while I learn), but thanks for the offer.

Yeah I did some googling and Raging Spirits is off in some other tree and not on the recommended list, I think I took something that produces an aura with the Wither effect (but I don't have enough spirit to power it anyway). Not sure if I'll get much chance to play in the near term, got a busy week ahead of me and some other games that need attention.

I dunno man, my stash is full of all kinds of stuff right now. Rares, Uniques, Good crafting potentials, currency, etc.

Well, that's anti-climactic.

Finally managed to beat the Act 1 boss after a bazillion tries and he drops no loot?

Is that supposed to be like that? Kinda shitty if so.

Is there any other ARPG that plays this good? Seriously, I'm having the time of my life and feel like I've been missing out.

Think I'm in the middle of Act 2. The boss of Titan Grotto (location) has been very challenging, but man what a fight, both the epicness and gameplay are above anything else.

Nope. But if you missed D3, I think you'd like it. I just wish the PC version would have gotten console controls cause it even has a combat roll on console. It isn't nearly as nice as PoE 2's roll, since it was an after thought, but it's still cool.

Thats one of the main gripes on the internet atm, the stingy loot. Would have liked a unique for that i was at that boss all night sunday, trying different build etc.

Think ive had one unique in 28 hours of game time. Im sure they'll do a loot pass.

Lol maybe it's being A/B tested per account - honestly that would be a sensible thing to do in an EA period.

I pick up every single thing I see; I am halfway through act 3. I have seen one unique and a total of 1 (one) rare for my class (granted, I get a handful of other-class rares but those go into the furnace).

The gameplay is fine - not to difficult and not too easy. But the Schedule of Rewards is... not in a good place for an ARPG. D4 had the exact same issue at launch and they fixed it eventually so it's likely that GGG will eventually as well.

That might be the thing - I also check the vendor every level up for normal items of the next level restriction, magic items of the next level restriction, magic items with high tier mods, normal or magic items with sockets, and buy any that are useful or potentially useful.

Don't hate me but I got 3 within 1 hour last night.

I suppose it's in part because the game is in EA, but still. At least a lvl 6 skill gem or something would've been nice.

Most of the negatives that people are bringing up I don't really agree.

Loot sucks? It's fine. The industry 'standard' is that vendors suck and mats should be saved for endgame. Now you actually have to use those mats on gear you pick up to ensure you are not lagging behind because some OP yellow or unique is no longer just around the corner. Also by ensuring that loot is not OP they actually sort of fixed the vendors, keep an eye on them and spend your gold.

Respawning sucks? Nah, it's a gatekeeping mechanic that tells you whether you need more loot, gear or are using your class efficiently. Every time I enter a new area I tend to die on the mobs. This Is how I farm. Eventually by the end of the map I'm not dying anymore, because I have more levels, got better drops or just have learned the new enemy patterns.

Also as a side note, the magma barrier on warrior is really cool. After you raise your shield, for 0.5 seconds you spray magma back on a successful block. They actually made the shield a successful interactive element! GGG you madlads!

Yeah, and Resonating Shield, a skill that lets me drum on my shield to do damage so when I go to parry, the magma explosion does damage and then I drum on my shield and the shockwaves do damage. It's great!

Infernal Cry, Shield Charge, Magma Barrier, Resonating Shield, then Bone Shatter got a chain of explosions. Never had such a chain of satisfying attacks in any game.

Instead of gas>grande use gas>fire wall ( mage skill ) ll help you a lot.
Gas followed by grenade is an insane synergy. Grenade damage is amplified by gas and I've built my passive tree for more charges, less cooldown and more radius. Support skills as well with fast forward. One gas and one grenade, sometimes two clears the whole screen

Get your cold resistance up and decent healing flask is what did it for me but yeah Gaynors a bitch no doubt.
l beat him about 10 minutes after posting this.lol Died about 4 times total. I swear my years of playing souls games and dealing with those bosses make these ones easier.

Yeah, Act II is where I'm starting to see how drops are a major issue. Or rather the lack of drops.

You get wave after wave after wave after wave and barely any drops and if there are any, it's barely worthwhile.

Think this is the point where I'm going to play every now and then, because it's starting to feel like a pointless grind rn.
Or at least until they fix lootdrops.
