Man, drops are so discouraging. I have 85% magic find on my gear, put a tablet on a tower that improved rarity by 14% (I think?), got a waystone with 100% increased rarity, and did a T7 boss node. Total haul: 1 exalt and a bunch of salvage.

This looks fun too

I’m at the point where I’ve hit a wall for content.

I have my atlas to currently have uncovered 4 copper citadels… 0 iron. Everytime I go to grass/forest fog areas I get boned and it turns into desert or mountains. The iron is supposed to be in forest/grass areas looking for wooden houses.

Still unable to complete 4th ascendancy.

Can map t15+ no issues at level 89. Capped all resistances. Following a meta build.

If I complete those 4 copper citadels I can sell the fragments for 1-2 divs each. I assume though if I fail the ash boss I would need all 3 fragments again to try.

Nah. Nope. Hell no.

That’s why I’m now thinking of playing a new character up to end game that can boss stomp. Are any warrior builds amazing?

I’m considering:

-Warrior biild
-Finish ice strike monk
-arch mage sorc
-respec my level 70 some pathfinder for concs

Grinding my infernalist isn’t it unless I can somehow get to a massive spike for bossing. Considering going back to arsonist with storm mage OG build and ditching storm skeleton build.

What does your atlas passive tree look like? Fortunate Path and Unstable Energies are important nodes to get to first to maximize quality of waystone drops.

Will watch this when I get back home.

Is it a boss blaster? I want to 2-4 shot bosses before they can do jack shit. I’ve seen archmage do that and I think dead eye 1-2 shot.

I’m gonna farm up the 4 citadels today and make 4-8 div. Put me to around 10 div 50 some ex and a Tom of everything else. So whatever I speed run to end game can get to level 80+ within a day or two of play.

Well, all classes can do that, depending on how you build it out. The ones that really require specific ascendancy points to be completely degenerate would be Deadeye, Pathfinder, Stormweaver, Bloodmage, Invoker, and Gemling.

I just did some spring cleaning on the guild stash again and I split our Level 50-60 Gear Library into 51-55, and 56-60 since it was getting very crowded.

I also put some decent rares in that I had in my 1ex public selling stash tab that weren't getting any hits.

Finally looking at the trade thing on the website. So you just search for the other person then friend and meet and then trade then unfriend them?
You don't need to friend them. The buyer whispers to the seller (you can do this automatically by clicking the button on the site), then if the seller is interested, they'll invite the buyer to their party. The buyer warps to the seller, the seller initiates the trade, and then they disband the party.

I don't have either of those yet, but I've been speccing into the north tree to get more waystone drops. It's the only way I've been able to sustain doing maps.

I've never partied with anyone before/ The way stone give you an option to warp to them?

Those two are the best bang for your buck for the early tree, IMO. Higher rarity waystones are important to get the waystone drop modifier up, and Unstable Energies makes every waystone you have even more potent. And to get there you need Constant Crossroads anyway.

There's lots of extra waystones in the guild stash. Use those too.

No, waystones are something unrelated.

This is how you trade

1) Find item you want from trade website
2) Click "direct whisper"
3) Wait for the seller to send you a party invite
4) Accept invite and click on the little portal icon thingie in their portrait on the left to teleport to them
5) Ideally have the items (typically exalt orbs) ready in your inventory and accept the trade request they send you
6) Put items in trade window and get your dopamine hit

I anticipate there will be A LOT of tweaks to trade, ascendancy, crafting and drops in the next month. Too many people complaining and personally I also felt those aspects are half baked and will cause a lot of people to give up once they wrap up the campaign.

Instead I am planning on playing through the other classes, given how different each class plays it feels like a much better use of time. Also helps learn the passive tree and various gems.

Have the devs made any tweaks to the movement speed of our character or increased the amount of enemies at all? I found myself getting so bored in dungeons especially because of how long it takes to traverse and explore, while simultaneously not having enough enemies to fight to keep it engaging. It was painfully slow.

Got my 3rd set of ascendency points, to celebrate, I donated my 160 spirit rattling sceptre to the guild stash, sitting in the level 45-50 tab.

Honestly hate how ascendency is done. Trials are super boring and samey, takes an hour to push through the three floors, you can get bricked easily by afflictions, I've taken honour damage from shit because of janky af hitboxes.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I'm having a weird problem on PS5, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen...

So I'm trying to play through the Trials of Sekhemas in Act II. I go into the first chamber, there is a little hourglass thing that says I have to fight monsters for 60 seconds... and when the timer reaches zero, nothing happens. Monsters keep spawning everywhere, and it keeps going until I die (or run out of honor) - I even made it about 10 minutes, but still nothing. Also, when I die the game basically crashes. It just has the "you failed the trail on room one" thing, with no option to resurrect or start over. Have to go to the PS5 dashboard and manually close the game.

I tried this four times in total, and had the same result every time. Is this section just bugged?

I had that death thing happen to me too. I had to quit out of the game and reload twice. It was only when I died during the trial or ran out of honor. I didn’t experience the other problem you had with the spawning creatures. I did experience my summon coming out, getting wiped, and process never ended.

Some skills are way underperforming. They have to be. Changed my Ranger from Lightning Arrow to the Gas Arrow/Firewall explodey build and it's chalk and cheese. One works and one doesn't.

Playing on PS5 Pro and the screen tearing is abysmal. Played in a party for the first time yesterday as well and with 4 players it was a slideshow. Hope they put some serious work into performance and optimisation because it's piss poor at the moment.

I've got a divine orb that I have to trade for this crazy 90+ exhalted if true.

edit: tried trading and it keeps saying no longer valid.

I clear T15s without even looking at my screen on my Corrupting Cry Warbringer.

I expect it to be nerfed next patch. It's not as fast as that bullshit Conc stuff, but its definitely braindead.

panda-zebra panda-zebra Do you want to do the third ascendancy trial today?
If anyone needs this, Rentahamster Rentahamster and that minion army are the path to success - it's really not worth ploughing through the 3 sets of trails only to end up with bad afflictions that makes the boss problematic.

Cheers for the run, very smooth that once that rogue mana flask was done away with, lol. You deffo have a good stash of relics in that box. Best plan here was try to keep out of the way during the gauntlet trials - partying with west coast US servers from Europe is like playing ps3 with a gen 1 LCD at times - you move, let go of the stick and wait for the corresponding action on screen some time later 😂 It's not an issue in maps, but timing a dart or dodge between traps not worth the risk.

Never seen this on ps5 myself and done quite a bit of the trials. Does this happen if hourglass isn't the first trial or is it always giving you that one first no matter what? Only thing I can think of is maybe one of the relics could be doing something weird so try changing those? Was expecting your question to be about Escape (the crystals one) where you have to disable any action on X or cannot interact with any subsequent crystals.

The game hanging on death is universal. It's like it doesn't shut down the game mode properly and gets stuck in that state - if you have minions they will keep coming back chipping away at what's on screen.

I've got a divine orb that I have to trade for this crazy 90+ exhalted if true.

You can trade between currencies using the vendor in town if you just want to cash in the divine for exalts. You can go a long way with just 1 exalt purchases though early on, just be very careful you have the right ratio set before you submit it.

A lot of the UI stuff is pretty rough on console right now, which is fine, it's a Beta. Trading is not nearly as slick as it looks in videos on PC. Some sellers might be expecting you to have it all done in seconds, but a few were very understanding and patient when I was getting those first few done and figuring it out. I've not seen anyone make a specific console video that also cuts to what you do on the website as well.

So to modify Antwix's post to make this as smooth as possible, this is how I remember it from doing a few trades so far (if I messed something up, let me know and I'll edit):
  1. Find item you want from trade website
  2. Get the correct currency from your stash to have it on hand - you don't want to faff about finding the stash in their hideout and dragging it out, it takes too long on console.
  3. Click "direct whisper" on the site
  4. Wait for the seller to send you a party invite
  5. Press Select to open up the invite. The invite appears and has an X on the box, but that is misleading. If you press X now you'll be doing something else and it won't be accepting the invite. You have to first move the highlight over to that far left option to accept the invite, then press X (doubt this would pass cert on a full release game, here I suppose they get a pass with it being EA/Beta).
  6. Press Select to open up options menu. Pick social. R1 over to party. Highlight the seller, X to select them and pick Warp to Player.
  7. The seller should initiate the trade when you arrive. Press select and again move over to where it says accept and pick it - don't just press X. It's very easy to mess this next part up and end up having a cancelled trade, so take care...
  8. The trade window will pop up. Press triangle on your payment in your inventory to zap it into your trade window (the bottom of the 2).
  9. Move the cursor above the seller's item in the top window to check it's correct (you have to do this before you can accept iirc), then back down onto your own window and check your payment is correct and hold X to make the trade. It'll appear in your inventory and that dopamine hit will be yours, hitting all that more harder for the extra effort it took.
  10. It'd be nice to message to say thanks to the seller, here's how that works:
  • Press Select to bring up option menu.
  • Pick Social.
  • Press L2 to bring up chat. Now good luck changing between chat channels, I'm not even sure how this works from memory as I just randomly move dpad and left stick until it ends up over the local/global/party/etc. option somehow (This is potentially a me issue, but it might just be as crap as everything else, so ymmv).
  • Hold L2 to be allowed to type.
  • Type message and pick the option to enter it. No, it's not actually sent at this point, it's just entered into the box even though it felt like you just submitted it.
  • Now press X to actually submit it while this text box is highlighted (which just feels crap if you're used to messaging on a playstation as if feels like you'd be asking to edit the message rather than send it).
  • If there's anyone still there/online/alive they'll get the message, but they've probably already left and completed 2 more trades with PC players by now.
As it is now it's pretty terrible doing this stuff as a console player, but it's also going to be annoying as hell for sellers on PC who are not used to having to wait around while console players are performing FGC button combos just to do the simplest of things they'd do with a mouse and keyboard unconsciously. Selling looks like it'd be even more painful from console, so I'm going to wait for a trading post feature and just put potentially good stuff I don't want in the guild stash or smelt it regardless.

Got up to 150-ish magic find.

Is magic find in groups really additive/as busted as I hear? Anyone else with good magic find down to party up for a bit at some point?

Used the in game vender, that was painless. Now why can't they develop that for everything!

I died while taking 3 seconds to pull a lever that I can't animation cancel out of.

Augury is now my least favorite map lol.
Augary is the worst, especially on minions. They are stuck in every door way. I will literally path 3 extra atlas nodes to avoid augary even if it’s shorter to my destination.

They need to remove it and crypt entirely.

If anyone else needs their third ascendancy I have one saved up right before the boss. All you need to do is join my party and then help me kill it. Just don't die lol.

Quick thought about the whole "item rarity" magic find stat on gear. Functionally, it's basically the same as a difficulty slider, but with more steps. Personally, I'd rather play a game with no magic find stat but has a difficulty slider that gives you more rewards by increasing difficulty. At least that removes the conflicting issues that it has with gearing and build variety.

That's pretty much what the "Ruthless" setting in POE1 was: you could opt-in to a more difficult experience with sparser, POE2-level drops but by default you'd get the signature POE loot-splosions.

The only issue with MF right now is the economy.

There is no league every 3 months to reset. This happens every poe1 league where the market bloats and bloats etc.

We are basically stuck with ballooning the entire early access. If they remove it now? Some will be rich now and got away like bandits . It will then cripple anyone moving forward.

Rock and hard place.

Only solution? Remove it then offer a “fresh” league with 1-2 new classes within it and a lot of other fixes etc to entice people to roll again. Or stay in the busted economy,

I was enjoying it to the mountain tops... then, I got to a part where I am supposed to enter a Mansion in this burned out town, and... I simply can't. Stopped for a few days, now, I am about to jump back in. The fix for that bug is apparently having to fight and defeat the boss again. He's not that hard, but it annoyed me enough to quit.... after 10 hours or playing!
