PC gaming on the Cheap!

Gamer79

Predicts the worst decade for Sony starting 2022
Here is a thread where we could share resources on how to acquire games as cheaply as possible. I found found ways to buy games much cheaper than consoles or just Sticking to one store front like Steam. If you have any tips on buying Pc games on the cheap, then share it here.

My 2 tips:
I fucking love this site: I have saved so much money: https://www.instant-gaming.com/en/?gad_source=1
and lesser known store Fronts like GOG are also a good tip. For example I just scored the Ultimate edition for cyberpunk with the included Phantom liberty DLC for $38. The Steam price is like $90 ( just one example but you get my point)

Any tips on how you save money on games?

Basically key sites like the one you posted. Being getting mine from there since I went PC gaming and never had any trouble.

Also family share, amazing way if sharing games between family members and close friends.

If you have Amazon Prime sub, don't sleep on Prime Gaming. You claim and own them forever.

Agree, free shiet is free shiet.

Thanks man, I've been missing on those amazon giveaways.
Yeah the gaming freebies are getting better and better recently. Especially once you linked your epic and gog accounts, it's only a matter of one click. If you already have active prime sub, definitely worth it.

Take a look at their past three months offering:

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

This web extension lets you see game prices from other stores like GreenManGaming, Fanatical, Humble, etc. while browsing Steam. This is in addition to TONS of other tweaks, upgrades, and added features on the Steam website.

Full disclosure: I'm the original creator of Enhanced Steam before it was forked to Augmented Steam. But, I no longer make any money on the extension, as I've now been promoted to "happy customer".

Gg.deals is all you need.

I just picked up Star Wars Outlaws for $27 because of that site. This game is like $52 on sale on PSN and $39 for physical copy at target.

Games are way cheaper on PC

Fanatical got great bundles, much better format than Humble IMO. Saves you from crap you don't want or paying for dupes.

If I buy new games I mostly buy them from CDkeys, a GOG key for Cyberpunk with DLC costs 35.69$ there for a comparison with the site OP listed.
Good deals there, High on Life is 91% off, it's not bad.

Yeah, I used your ES for a while. Great piece of work and really appreciated how well your tools pulled in all my games regardless of source for easy access and cataloging.

Will give AS a go since you speak highly of it.

Then install heroic launcher, link all your accounts and then you don't need all the separate launchers/stores - just use heroic for install and library and have it auto add them to steam.

Are we really just gonna brush aside the whole "lesser known store Fronts like GOG" thing?

CDKeys has basically made Steam sales pointless for me for the last few years, which kinda sucks, missing that excitement. Haven't tried that GG site, but will look into it.

Bundle sites like Humble Bundle and Fanatical can put up some great bundles. Humble Bundle even has a monthly Bundle called Humble Choice that usually has a decent selection and gives you access to a whole number of games (I think it is called Humble Trove or something) to play while you have a subscription for £8.99.

Epic Store obviously gives free games weekly, but even if you don't use Twitch but have Amazon Prime, I'd recommend signing up and linking your Amazon account. You get multiple free games per month, but they are locked to a specific store e.g GOG, Epic, even Amazons own launcher.
With GOG they give you a code, so you could give it away or sell it, but the rest is usually click to add to your linked account.

Also to add, Amazon has Luna for Prime members. It is their cloud gaming service and it's included with Prime.

Then there's the site isthereanydeal.com that might help too, but not sure if it scans all types of store.
