Really enjoying Persona 5 Royal right now. P3R was decent, but you can tell just how much of an improvement Persona 5 is and how far the series has progressed.
- Far better story pacing that spans across real life and the metaverse / palaces
- Strong enemy characters (extremely lacking in P3R)
- Palaces / Dungeons that are a big improvement from P3R and P4, with interesting hooks to them
- The visuals look better to me than even P3R, just more density into the environments and more polish when it comes to style
- This game does not hold back on sensitive subjects. I was not expecting that first boss scenario. Glad they don't shy away from controversial subjects. Seems a lot more mature than previous Personas even though it's still in high school
I find myself not getting nearly as bored with social link activities and I'm really hooked on the story. Hope the other palaces/enemies hold up. Just beat the first one.
