Crazy that people believed this. "Yea we are announcing ports of our games to PlayStation and putting on a direct to talk about it but it's just Pentiment"
It's amusing seeing the true believers narratives change along with Phil's. Especially when you can go back to those threads.Crazy that people believed this. "Yea we are announcing ports of our games to PlayStation and putting on a direct to talk about it but it's just Pentiment"
If you're not trolling, most of GAF does this for every employee or boss that is disliked here, even to go as far as pulling up their linkedin info or other information. Why are you doing this to this man? He's just doing his job.
10 years of loosing and having to tell the lie that you are winning will do that to someone.Phil’s looking rough in that last picture.
Evangelical, even.![]()
This was a popular avatar on GAF 11 somewhat years ago. Americans buy Xbox not Playstation, right? The Spencer campaign back then was something else.
I guess you can look at two different pieces of shit and decent which is better. I’d still walk away from them both.Phil Spencer > Herman Hulst
He hasn’t lost the plot so much as lost the war and trying not to get executedI've said it before and I'll say it again: When you're a platformholder and you start talking about unwalled gardens, you've lost the fucking plot.
He hasn’t lost the plot so much as lost the war and trying not to get executed
The Obama effect. Most people in high positions or in war age like crazy in just a few years. Look at the before and after for soldiers in foreign missions or politicians on a second mandate.Phil’s looking rough in that last picture.
Though it’s fair to ask why Phil hasn’t been replaced when he is implementing a strategy he doesn’t seem to be a fan of.
Phil Spencer has brought us game pass and excellent games. I can't complain.I guess you can look at two different pieces of shit and decent which is better. I’d still walk away from them both.
There were variants like "In Phil Spencer we trust" as well, I remember people spamming posts what a cool guy he is and how they would love to have a beer with him. Their transparency consists to this day.Evangelical, even.
Cult of personality.

Yeah, that's some presidential level of aging over managing video games lol.Phil’s looking rough in that last picture.
To be fair, if theyre under Microsoft payroll astroturfing then its acceptableIt's amusing seeing the true believers narratives change along with Phil's. Especially when you can go back to those threads.
They are getting into the 'acceptance' stage of the grief scale.

I'm not sure you're very good at rhyming.
To be honest, neither is George Lucas.....I'm not sure you're very good at rhyming.
Same thought. I may think he’s a retard who shouldn’t be in charge of Xbox but I don’t wish death on him. He looks sick… like going through chemo sick.Phil’s looking rough in that last picture.
They can’t. And the series S existing will force this scenario to be more devs like black myth wukong skipping the Xbox entirely. He hasn't really answered the value proposition of why anyone should choose an Xbox next-gen - but perhaps they'll do something new and that's to come.
The concern I want him to address is, so there are no first party exclusives, but for those who do buy a next-gen Xbox, how do you guarantee them third party games? Some are already skipping the Series X. What happens when the next console sells 1/4 of what the S/X does? How do they keep third party games launching on the platform with such a small install base?
