Interesting. Mine was expiring and I got nothing, so yeah maybe targeted. I had to re-up at full price, but obviously bought PSN vouchers to get a ~20% discount

Ok there is no alternative and there are basic features that people value like cloud saves and multiplayer hidden behind a paywall, so people will bite the bullet, but I wouldn't call it a great deal.

There are definitely some real deals.
But the best thing you can do during big sale events like these, be it for games or other stuff, is to use some price tracking site (like Psdeals for PSN) to see if it's actually a historically low price for the product or not.

I am a very patient person, I agree we should reward top quality games with our hard earned money and it sounds like Bladurs Gate 3 is that.

It's not my usual type of game though and I am not sure if I will like it.

I buy plenty of games Day one, but I am finding myself getting more patient as I get older and have less time. I am not one of these people that has FOMO or anything like that, so I am quite happy to wait for certain games and it always pays off well.
