PlayStation 5 Pro Has No Trouble Pushing 120 FPS Gameplay Even Without Optimization and PSSR – Rumor

I am not sure why people keep banging on about cpu - I have a 12th gen intel and whenever I play at over 100fps on 1440 ultrawide, it is always the gpu on 90% and the cpu on 50%. The higher the res, the more likely it is the gpu throttling you rather than the cpu.

Not to mention that PS5 already has a bunch of custom hardware to off load stuff that a PC CPU has to do.

But whatever. The results are already speaking for themselves ... Devs will fall into line. PS5 is where the money is for them these days, and supporting Pro is minimal effort to get soke improvements they can hang their product on.

Whether they bother going beyond minimal effort is the question. CPU limit stuff is specious for the remainder of this gen.

There are a bunch of games that run at 120fps on PS5 Pro though.

No one expected all of them to.
There are a bunch for base ps5 too
The implication was that the pro would be powering through most titles at 120fps
On a positive note I’ve been impressed with lies of p in quality mode on pro, silky smooth framerate, I’m guessing 60 from playing it quite a lot now, Xbox series x really struggled with this game for some reason even at 30fps quality it was rough

This thread aged like milk lol
How? It was talking about one game the dev was working on.
People only read the titles.
The source can't be trusted all that much, but a 120fps game isn't that rare.
lol what a nonsense statement . it's is very game by game dependent.
The statement is only talking about one game though.
the developer felt confident they would have the game running at 1440p, 1600p resolution, and locked 120 FP
