This is a really fun game that was on PS+ a while ago. AA in its delivery but a lot of fun and the destruction mechanics on the cars are very good. Looking forward to the 2nd game. Alan Wake remastered is in progress.

I played this day one on the 360. I was a massive fan and game still plays pretty well but shows its age. I am ready for Part 2 now be that good or bad. I am still really excited to see how the story pans out but I'm wondering will we see a part 3?

Just gonna be honest though, PS is now my secondary platform. I play more on PC now on Steam and I think I've caught up faster on achievements there.

Well, I've been taking a hiatus in trophy, as sold my PS5 in September in preparation for getting Pro. But then I realized I won't have time to play till late December and there isn't any stock issue, so I canceled my preorder. So here I come clearing up some PS3 games I've been meaning to plat.
I'd say the game design philosophy is very different from nowadays games - it's pretty much gameplay for 95% of the time, and when you have cutscenes, the lines wouldn't exceed 10. It's not even a very good GoW game imo, but it's really refreshing compared to modern games.

I posted this in another thread but worth posting here too... I've just created a GPT specifically for trophy hunting - Platinum Pro. It's much faster than searching around online, presents the info just like sites such as Powerpyx, with key bulleted information about the game length, complexity etc, followed by the trophy guide and keeps it all in one place. Give it a shot as I'm finding it really handy myself and let me know what you think.

Its been backlog clearing time lately. Wrapped up FF16 and Hogwarts FINALLY
I could potentially plat each sometime in the future as I would very much replay both after enough time has passed. I just wish Hogwarts had NG+. I just don't see how you can hit the level cap of 40 without grinding baddies for like 12 hours or more. Im like 6/8 through level 38 and after a point that XP bar just barely crawls each time you get some points, no matter what you're doing.

How's it going guys, been a while since I posted here. I had to put my 14 year old dog down last year and it put me in a major funk for most of the remainder of 2024. So it was a down year of gaming for me. But here are some game I've platted/100% since my last post.
I'm feeling good now and will probably contribute more frequently on here this year. Hope you all have been well.

I was so happy I finally got to play kill zone liberation as I never had a psp. Fun platinum too.

Other good psp additions were Daxter, Ratchet Size Matters and Secret agent clank.

I played through the Ratchet ones, and remembered Size Matters quite fondly from the psp days. Secret Agent was a litte too much of a spinoff for me, but the length was fine for a quick and dirty plat. Same goes for all of the psp games I've played so far.

Got the Streets of Rage 4 platinum after not playing beyond easy mode for years. The Mr X dlc characters certainly made it easier. Some of them have crazy broken dash moves though going a whole level without getting hit was the biggest bitch.

Boy Twisted Metal 1 and 2 were easy to plat! Got started on Jak and Daxter and while there's some harder ones compared to the remaster I think rewind will mitigate that. Gonna get a lot of platinums going through all these classics during February which is clearly video game history month for me

Did over half of precursor legacy yesterday and while the extra challenges are there compared to the PS3 version, the rewind feature makes it an overall less time consuming platinum. For the one where you needed to complete the race in 40 seconds I just kept rewinding small sections at a time during a single run until I got it right

I never worry about trophys. I just got my first platinum trophy ever last week. Tales of Arise of all games.
