Punishing Alien: Isolation Mod Adds Five Xenomorphs, Running Androids

A rather sadistic Alien: Isolation fan unleashes a mod to really challenge players, which includes adding more of the titular creatures to the game.

As reported by PCGamesN, user Vyr0511 has created a mod for Alien: Isolation that adds five Xenomorphs to the game. Simply called "AlienS Isolation," players will not only take on more of the titular animals, which all have improved AI and faster reactions times, but will also go up against the Working Joe robots, which can now run. Looking at the list of what's in store in this "true nightmare" mode really paints a picture of the intensity that awaits. A note on the mod page even says that this setting can actually be frustrating, with playthroughs relying on a lot of luck.

Can see the increase of Xenos being very fun with the adjusted AI mods that loosen up the "chain" the AI has around you.

Such a shame that the Cathode Engine has not seen more use.

Fascinating.. For me personally the androids were way more scary on a primary level..
The Xenomorph, while scary within the context of stalking/jumpscare, the actual visual manifestation doesn't compare to the androids imho.
