Lunar was my favorite announcement, but the rest of the show didn't impress me. Ghost 2 was a nice surprise, but that was the only new 1st party title. Pretty ho-hum overall for me. I rate it a strong C

One very surprising thing was the amount of love Stellar Blade got here, including the Astro Bot update.
Now I'm waiting for the next State of Play for some DLC announcement.

-Free Astro Bot DLC with the hint of more to come (assuming paid)
-Motherfucking Lunar 1 & 2
-Pokemon on PlayStation! (little girl smirk.gif)
-Monster Hunter Pre-Orders (goodbye $109.99!)
-Dino Crisis PSOne Classic incoming
-The music in Yotei was amazing. I thought Tsushima was ok so I can't say I'm terribly excited about the sequel, but the addition of the wolf has me very interested.

I had really low expectations so I'd actually give this an A if not for a Sonic game making an appearance so the show automatically gets an F.

Oooh sassy

One big new first party announcement in Ghost of Yotei, some good DLC and Remasters, some third party announcements. It's a B by State of Play standards, it's a C when judged against Nintendo Directs.

I found it genuinely depressing - they've shit the bed for the foreseeable future. I find nothing about their vision for the future to be appealing.

There's plenty of games I'm excited for on Playstation, but it's absolutely none of the stuff they care to showcase.

Was excited for midnight walk, hell is us, archeage chronicles (hope it's not an mmo but can't tell), and dynasty warriors origins.

MH wilds was the best looking game but that series just doesn't click with me sadly.

I thought it was okay. Gave it a B but it was a solid 7/10. Some of the VR games even seemed good for once and I'm definitely interested in Metro. If they can manage what Alyx did for Half-life then it might be a genuine banger.

I was also glad to see a lack of that dreadful Fortnite style that has infested so many recent games. I didn't notice a single smirk with a raised eyebrow.

Would be a C in comparison to what Sony used to provide at E3, not that long ago.

However ZERO GaaS bullshit makes it a B, and it wasn't really all that bad actually.

For me, it was a C until I saw GOW and PS5 Pro enhanced games.
Now, I've rated the lineup as a B. B as in Better, and certainly worth the upgrade.

Ghost 2 saved this SoP, but still C though. No RE9? I feel like there will be another showcase around December.

Well this was suppose to be THE showcase that people were waiting for years, where the various 1st party studios will show what they have been up to for the past few years, in preparation for the PS5 Pro.

We knew about the remaster, I think when it comes to the games they're losing business with the hardcore crowd, how is midnight walk or lunar going to sell systems? I'm going to give Ghosts 2 a look (when the price is down) and the worst of all is they where are the pillars of playstation? (Nathan Drake, the super hero game, sport games, kratos etc.) I give it a C+ and that's successful, you can cherry pick all the announcements and I guess indy games are working for SONY.

I gave it a C. Im glad Ghost of Yotei is happening. I was slightly disappointed that there was no Naughty Dog announcement. No Stellar Blade PC announcement. Of course no Bloodborne, longshot as it was.

I don't understand why we need a remastered Horizon Zero Dawn.

Astrobot DLC is cool.

I was kinda hoping they would show something that made me say I need a PS5 Pro...but no dice. On to the next one I guess.

C. Ghost certainly elevated it and the chromas looked sexy AF. Lunar's on my wishlist. I want to get a Pro, but man.. nothing really pushed me in the direction of spending that much cash for one. Maybe Ghost.

Enjoyed it, GoY is a nice surprise and looks better than expected. Astrobot dlc also looks fun and is free. Hitman on psvr 2 plus metro are a plus. Overall, really good state of play.

C. Would have been B with a new ip. A new GoT was as surprising as a new TLOU, GOW, Uncharted, Horizon, GT or Spider-Man will be. The question is only when they announce it, not if.

It's a C for me, but I gave them a B for masterfully setting very low expectations and exceeding them.

Not being rude, but why even put out a show like this? Should have just done a blog post for GoT or shown it later when a 10 minute gameplay slice was ready.

Pretty nice watch with lots of diffrent games and dlc for existing games. (a state of play is just that) Horizon ps5 upgrade for 10 euro is nice to have i guess, platinummed the first one and stil have to start part deux. so pass for me. Nier automata dlc for Stellar Blade was pretty rad. Would have liked a remake for Soul Reaver instead of a remaster but hey, cant complain. Monster Hunter Wilds looks awesome. we eating good. Now give us a showcase in dec to tell os what the first party studio's are up to.

a no show for Fairgame$ was pretty unexpected but i think they just wanted positive news. Ghost 2 will be a insta buy

I'm mixed on it even though I rated it B it was personally more like D+ for me. The only reason I rated it so high was because there was a bunch of games that looked interesting that I will probably buy but nothing really stood out to me and it seemed solid even though a lot of the trailers seemed way too short. Even that Ghost game trailer was simply alright. They probably should have gone with a more artistic movie vibe for the trailer since they were going western.

I can't believe people are seriously, no tongue in cheek giving this an A or a B?

What the fuck is happening?

what a sad state of affairs.
