lol that was fun. This is pretty much what game needed to be 10 hours was just right. Just running around and shooting stuff. I ended up going through the main story mostly but cool that they had the optional side stuff. The team seemed to get the premise of the movies spot on. True to the series in about every way. Bravo!
Okay, bought it. Alex Murphy edition was only 2 dollars more, so whatever got that. May or may not try it imminently, but either way it's acquired. I think back to how much I enjoyed Alien Isolation and how accurate it felt to the property, though I'm not a huge fan of Robocop, I hope the same for this above all else.
Robocop Rogue City is a very good game. The atmosphere of the Robocop film is perfectly captured and the gameplay is also excellent. The combat in this game reminds me a bit of arcade shooters, and that's a good thing. Robocop is also a UE5 showcase (the game use all UE5 features: nanite, lumen and even VSM). Not many UE5 games impressed me that much with the graphics and performance was also amazing for the most part (there was one memory leak and performance droped to 13fps and I had to restart the game to fix it) and I did not see any stuttering. On the RTX4080S I had about 90-110fps at 1440p DLAA and 160fps with FGx2. I wish every UE5 game would run like that.
I recommend turining on VSYNC in NVCP and limit framerate with riva tuner using "reflex" limited instead of "async". Old DLSS FG with VSYNC was not recommended, but the latest version (transformer - running fully on tensor cores) dont have this problem, and by limiting the framerate with riva tuner you can get perfect frame delivery and responsivenes this way. With this metod I could feel any difference between real 160fps and generated 160fps.
Wow do I ever regret letting this sit in my backlog for so long. I ended up playing it and loving it. Beat it twice actually. New game plus gives you the overpowered board for your gun with infinite ammo and no reloads and I was just wrecking shit like crazy. Popping heads like watermelons, busting through walls and doors, punching people clear accross the map... it really does feel like you are a walking indestructible tank. It was so good, and the graphics, sound, and music were all top notch. The only thing I didn't like was how loud the footsteps were and thankfully there is an option to turn that down. 8.5/10 for me.
I grabbed it on Steam. I really like it but i'm having a freezing issue on the first streets level. Every once in a while the screen will freeze but i still have sound.
