Sony has drawn a line for developers that should be invisible to us consumers.

Sony is reportedly pushing PlayStation 5 Pro compatibility on developers.

Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming made this statement in Twitter earlier today:

“All games after Sept 16 will need to support the PS5 Pro”

Compatibility? Wouldn't that be every game released since the PS5 launched?

It's still a PS5. I assume every PS5 game is compatible with a PS5.

But it's only about compatibility? Doesn't mean that the devs will be forced to prepare a better version for the Pro model.
Yes just compatible not enhanced

huh? this has been known for months...and all this means is "all games that work on a PS5 need to work on a PS5 Pro" doesn't mean they will be enhanced for PS5 Pro. It only means they ave to work there.
Yes we have known this awhile now

I don't think they need to force them.

It sounds extremely easy to implement by all accounts so far.

There were PS4 games that had issues on the PS4 Pro... you just didn't see it for the most part because they got patches.
same policy was in place, but yea theoretically some stuff can slip through. But hopefully Sony's APIs and tools and stuff are better now so that doesn't come up.

It's the exact same rules they had in place for the PS4Pro and MS had for the X1X.

With that said, most publishers/devs will incorporate enhancements as they do on the PC. As they did last gen as well.
