Game is fun the gumballs are a bit wank.
Also no extra shit to level perks on escape is lame bring back the cold war system

ok, I see. is there a time limit? I needed to quit the game and the game told me I will loose the points or whatever.
No time limit, game gets harder the more rounds/waves you go; quitting/dying shouldn't kill your xp gain, but successful exfil should get you much more rewards

What does successful Exfil earn us?
Do we keep the money we earned during the round?
Are there weapon XP or upgrades that we keep?
What are the rewards of a successful Exfil?
What do we earn if we don’t Exfil?
Do kills count towards camo challenges even if we don’t exfil?
Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer with details for players like me who are not at all familiar with Zombies mode.

The more I play it, the more I hate it. Such a disappointment...

The fact that it's doubly stressful as sweaty multiplayer to me is blowing my fucking mind. It wasn't supposed to be like this.

I hoped for Cold War Breakout but this isn't even as fun as MW3 Zombies.. Oh well, I hope at least other people are having fun with it.

You mean outbreak?
It was always confirmed to be round based and outbreak wasn't round based, and so far it seems quite a bit easier than cold wars maps because of the extra movement.

If they sold the zombies portion of the game as a standalone I'd probably consider it at $20-$25, but I have no interest in online multiplayer or the campaign. It looks cool though.

I haven't played Zombies meaningfully since BO3. Some friends and I tried out Cold War a bit. It was okay I guess.

I'm perfectly happy with BO3 zombies forever. That was pretty much the perfect version of zombies when you factor in the DLC.

I'm not gonna be able to play this for at least a week as I am just now on a 2hr drive home after having a heart procedure performed. So will need to keep stress to a minimum. I didn't like the open world zombies at all, much preferred rounds based version with tighter maps and secrets etc. Also way more fun at least for me when I play with friends so we can more easily communicate. Any game you are running around like crazy warping between dimensions/locations is usually not as fun with randos.

Someone answered my questions on another forum, so I thought I'd share their answer to help anyone like me who has the same questions.

"1. More XP than not exfilling and at higher levels you get whimsical gobblegums.

2. When you say round do you mean the whole match? Or an individual round itself? Your points transfer from round to round, but every match you start at zero points and have to earn points again.

3. You can earn weapon XP in zombies and use whatever attachments you unlock for your gun. But if you mean upgrade as in Pack a Punch, that only lasts for that match.

4. More XP and Gobblegums depending on what round you exfil.

5. There's no penalty for not exfiling, you just get less XP.

6. Yes. You don't need to exfil to get XP or progress towards your camo challenges.

Hope that helps."

I wish you well and a speedy recovery!

I like your Savage Dragon pfp.

I am new to Zombies and I like the round based approach. I tried the open world Zombies as a solo player in the last game, and I felt very overwhelmed. I look forward to learning about the mode and maps and secrets in BO6!

So much better than Open World zombies.

I have played every single zombies ever and am enjoying these maps so far.

It seemed as simple as Old Skool zombies, or am I missing something that needs to be done? Is it basically back to get as high a round as you can again?

Loot? What loot? It's not an extraction mode.

Kill zombies.

These answers are absolutely not helpful at all. Clearly we are new players who are asking for details and information. Due to how new we are, our questions will obviously seem strange, incorrect, out of place, and generally may not make sense since we don't know what to ask and how to ask it. Your replies, while ultimately true in their very specific context, are not sufficient without additional information and specific context for new players seeking guidance and information. If you actually care to be helpful next time, please be informative and explanatory, or even post some links. Otherwise your replies are nothing more than snark.

you kill zombies in the zombies mode, there's no loot extraction because it's not an extraction mode, it's a zombies killing mode; dunno why you would think this is "snark".

So when you play Zombies mode, you just choose a default gun and spend the entire time killing zombies, and that's it? There are no other systems, mechanics, features, items, and strategies at play? The entirety of the mode is just killing Zombies with the default gun you choose? Huh. That's oddly simplistic and strange. I played a round of Zombies and saw a lot of systems, mechanics, features, items, and strategies beyond just killing Zombies, and yet I wanted to know more about them than what the game told me in the middle of a round of Zombies. I suppose that asking questions here is intended to elicit responses beyond "kill zombies." And if you say, "Well, you didn't ask," how are we supposed to ask specific questions about things we may not know or understand?

Here is an example of a helpful answer.

"Ultimately the mode is about killing Zombies each round. You can choose a gun and have at it every round of play, but it will get a lot harder each round. Zombies will get stronger and more varied. Killing zombies earns a currency that can be spent during the round on guns and/or upgrades, armor, and perks and abilities and bonuses to help you out. The details of all those things is a little more specific if you want to know more."

Then we could've asked specific questions at that point, and/or went and played a little and then came back and asked some more once we had further context. Or maybe we would've figured it out a bit and then asked some follow up questions. You can ask me for tomorrow's weather forecast and I can answer, "Cold," and still be correct, but when a complex blizzard system rolls through it is obvious that the answer of "cold" is in and of itself insufficient to truly explain the weather tomorrow. I'm going to leave it at this because I can already see how the exchange will go based on all of your previous replies. Thank you and enjoy your Sunday.

Pssst. Just ignore 😉

sure, if you want to.
Sounds like you're looking for a guide that tells you everything in-depth, ign.com has a bunch, or you could just play and read the tooltips and follow the waypoint markers.
