Not a fan of the movies, the human connection stuff is such a drag (I get it, it's cheap to film compared with CG). But I really enjoy Jim Carrey's hammy Robotnik.
They should have used the third film to finalize his transformation into Eggman and put him in a fat suit.

So a new Lego set that really surprised me was announced, which is Super Sonic and Super Shadow vs the Biolizard from SA2. Its existence makes me wonder if the movie will in fact have the Biolizard after all, especially because Shadow was silver in this scene (iirc Hyper Shadow).

Maybe the movie recons it as two golden super hedgehogs resulting in the depiction in the set. But just a guess.

Here's to hoping this film ends with Sonic and his crew going back to their own worlds and we get a movie without the god damn humans and fully animated.
With the success of these films and the Mario film, hopefully that puts some faith in the next one be a fully animated film next time.

So glad whoever is writing the script for these movies is self-aware, it's the only way these movies could have ended up as entertaining as they actually are, all other paths would have sucked.

I don't think that's going to happen, filming humans is cheaper and Sega is super into the human connection stuff.

Mario doesn’t really have a story, peach gets kidnapped, Mario rescues her, so you can write whatever script you want in that universe.

Sonic has a lot of lore and fandom, and both are awful, so the options are to ignore it and piss the fandom off, treat it like holy testimony and end up with an awful film with no self awareness, or do what they have done, accepting the lore exists and is stupid and just having fun at its expense, which was 100% the way to go.

Can’t wait! I wouldn’t call them great movies but I enjoyed the hell out of the first two and my kids really loved them. For both movies their school had a special event where they rented out the whole theater for the kids, it was a blast.

But I’m assuming this one will be rated R since it has Shadow so maybe it’ll be for the parents only this time.

Shadow's game was rated E10+, this movie will be PG.

Movies are not that good but atleast they did Knuckles descently. Personally, I'd kill for a Sonic Anime with DBZ fights.

Mortal Kombat is nice. Mario movie is great. Last of Us is great. Fallout is great
