Splatoon 2 |OT2| From Smallfry to FlyFish in 5 Easy Steps!

Fuck this. I've gone a straight nose dive from professional down to 20/99 overachiever. Whoever thought this was a good set for Salmon Run needs to be fucking fired.

This is the most garbage ass set of garbage ass weapons to ever Salmon Run.

Nah, this weapon set is actually pretty good, the problem is people don't know how to use them.

Charger- self-explanatory

N-Zap- killing lots of shit

Octobrush- creating quick paths to eggs and bosses

Roller- Keeping the area near the egg basket painted in your ink, rolling over smaller mobs

But people try to play hero squid no matter their weapon and fuck everything up.

Rainmaker is garbage.

Git gud sucka!

Just won a 3 v 4 Rainamker (S+) on Port Mackerel.
We played out of our minds and won 22-55.
Immediate adds all around.

I was running Tenacity... So clutch! Popped 8 Tenta Missles with Special Boost and my team cleaned them all up.

I never liked Tenacity over the meter boost, but my playstyle leaves me.last man standing pretty often and if I can escape I can usually provide a safe jump and catch 3-4 people in my missle lock.

It's taking me a while to get a solid range game in S2, but it's been paying off. I desperately want Jet Squelcher with Burst Bombs, but I'm having fun learning the new range game.

Anybody else finding long range weapons more difficult in Splatoon 2 vs 1?

Please help me with my bad english
Woah. Woah.

Need to step back.

Rainmaker is life.
For me it's:

Splat Zones >>> Rainmaker > Tower Control.

Don't really have a huge preference though. It's really about the mode AND the map. To me, The Reef + Tower Control is absolute misery in the A ranks.

Many cracks as i fill up the B+ rainmaker meter.

It does skip ranks for you higher than B-, by the by. I skipped right over neutral B in rainmaker, but there's a 50/50 shot i'll have to do B+ twice at the rate i'm going...

I played a surprising number of Charger matches in Turf War where i was the top inker on my team. Partly skill (i got up to 800 in some matches), but partly because some teammates with easier weapons were doing worse than that.

The octobrush there is the weak link. Only a little faster that the roller, has the most trouble killing, consumes ink so hard. Should have been an inkbrush.

The current set has ink consumption problems in general. The best weapon there is the 4k because that thing can destroy a lot of bosses in just one charge, but it needs to be in the hands of a good charger user because of its really long charge time.

I'm having the best luck in salmon run today, 7 games 2 ended in first round, other 5 ended in 2nd round. I liked the last weapon set where I was winning every round better :( :( :(

Just got the game. Did I miss something cuz 90% of the miiverse posts I'm seeing on the lobby is "I wish __ was real" meme lol

Totally forgot about the level up system from Splatoon 1. I just want my dualies from the splatfest demo T_T

Yeah thats true enough. The only maps I like for Splatzones really are the two from Splatoon 1. All the new maps are... just boring big arenas at the end of the day.

I like maps where there is real distance between the two bases and you can have isolated fights and struggles, which I suppose Humpback has as well. But eh

I love win animations that carry a flow to them, and the Brella nails a flow.

Like, yeah, your Gun animation is okay or whatever, cool pose, but you just like... Held the gun up. Brella, you go from holding it along your side to spinning it twice, before popping it open where you will even continue to spin it every once in a while!

The Splatlings' animations work really well with "cool" get-ups. Buckets are also great. Kept the spinning on finger animation from the first game, but added the sitting portion to it. Sidenote, using a Bucket also has a special animation on spawning in; they smile! Like, "I'm fighting with a bucket! Could this be any better?"

Tri-Slosher needs nerfing for real.

Also, playing with randoms in any mode where teamwork is essential is so shitty.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.
Salmon Runs been brutal today

It's a tough Salmon rotation mostly because the supposed hard-hitting weapons are very slow. E-Liter can one-shot an awful lot of stuff but the long charge time is a bit of a liability when things get hectic, and since you can't charge-store without the full charge, it means you have to be stationary for a long time before you can contribute much. Flingza has some strong attacks but the vertical slice having its long windup is problematic for largely the same reasons as the E-Liter. It can run over chum and two-roll Cohocks which is helpful though. N-Zap and Octobrush both have decent enough damage output, but battling through the waves to reach anything can become a pain. It's not a terrible setup overall but somewhat of an awkward one requiring people to directly back each other up and play to each weapon's specific roles. Again, tougher to do once the map gets hairy.

Meanwhile, I finally reached level 30! All weapons access. \o/
The Clash Blaster...it inks pretty badly, the trail kind of reminds me of what you get from an airborne Rapid Blaster, but god damn if it isn't hilarious to use and actually pretty fun, at least in my initial playing around with it. Feels like a great way to put the army of lamer Aerosprays in their place. I think I'll put together a build for this and see what I can get out of it, probably with a lot of run speed, and some ink saver sub to mitigate the cost of bomb usages. A little bit of ink resistance and sub power for good measure.

Flingza Roller is so fucking awful it can't even work in Salmon Run

Also why the hell are people so bad with chargers?

Just memes spreading through the plaza, let them run their course and something new will be there next week.

Thats the magic of splatoon to me. When you're team work materializes without any direct communication.

Playing with an actual spoken plan and goal and talking would absolutely ruin the game for me.

I love when you just see what your team is doing or planning and work together.

The E-Liter is pretty fun in Salmon Run. The extra charge time sucks, but damn does it feel good to one-shot Steel Eels from across the stage... I forgot that chargers can do that. I have gone from someone who hates chargers to wanting to steal away the weapon in every game of Salmon Run. This game, man.

The Flingza Roller sucks so hard, though. The only application for the extra fling is that you can kill a Steelhead with it (was able to do it in 2 vertical swings). Everything else, other weapons kill better.

I just found out you can hold down the brush in Salmon Run to use it as a roller.

Mind blown.

Nearing 4 weeks, this is my progress so far.

Haven't been able to play Rainmaker much.

That's really cool, thanks for sharing.

You should stream or record footage if you don't already. I'd love to see and (hopefully) learn from the play. DUDE and fuzzy 2dos are always an option, but more people would show different playstyles.
Also, that's nuts. For some reason I didn't realize that you have two nearly at 50. How many times have you jumped multiple tiers?

What does cF stand for? I've seen the tag a few times in solos. Of course, most of them are probably fakes (like the three "sendou" I've seen already), but they clearly know it means something. :p

E: forgot 2dos' name and just defaulted to Fuzzy for some reason
