Nice, seems like they did it again.
It Takes Two was a ton of fun and this looks just as good.

Btw, this rapid-fire questions video done by minmax with Josef Fares was really good (probably the best interview format for someone like him, lol):

Some interesting stuff I didn't know from that:
- Around half the sales of the original were made in China.
- The free friend pass works across platforms, you can buy the game on Xbox and invite someone on playstation to play with you for free.
- The budget for Split Fiction is around twice that of It Takes Two
- They are an independent company, don't want to be acquired and don't want to go public (gives me hope they'll continue doing awesome games for years to come)

Great to see this, no surprise here though. Had no worries after playing A way out and replaying It takes two already since beginning of this year to prepare with wife, that this one's gonna also hit the spot!

I dunno, kind of got bored halfway through both of their previous co-op adventures. I hope they're successful though, as the niche for this stuff clearly exists.

In the middle of it takes two with my son now. It's great and a brilliant game for what it's trying to do but yea I would never give it GOTY. I'm not huge into games like this though.

Dude casually says "Fuck the Oscars" and drops like three banger video games in a row, dude is my hero at this point lol
Dont forget he made some small but cool movies before... I don't remember much but I really liked them back in the days.

Jalla Jalla
Kopps

IIRC Kopps was about some police station in a small, sleepy swedish village, and the government wants to close the police station because absolutely no crimes (or anything at all) happen there. So the police men starts to do crimes to keep the police station alive, crazy :messenger_winking_tongue:

I liked the other 2 games and will most likely play this one as well

Never in doubt. Going to be playing through this the moment it releases. Would pre-order if I could, but strangely there’s no option to do so on PSN in my location.

They've really cornered the market on this genre. That's awesome.

It Takes Two was a family BONANZA in my house. Can't wait to play this new one with my oldest.

What's the difference between this and It Takes Two? Besides the artstyle and story being different I mean. It's the same concept with different levels, look and story and that's it?

I suppose that's asking what the difference is between Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne. Or the pre-BOTW Zelda games. What's wrong with a similar -but further refined- concept?

I thought after GOTY winner It Takes Two had nailed and perfected the concept. Maybe it's now rendered obsolete by this new iteration?

Excited to play this. Not even going to watch any reviews.

Hopefully it's still simple and fun enough for the casuals, since a lot of us will be playing with mostly-non-gaming significant others.

I'd love to be able to split the game between two monitors but it'll probably have to be split-screened.

If by concept, you mean co-op split screen, puzzle/action/platformer, then yes. A spiritual successor in concept.

I found a copy today and played around 4 hours with the lady tonight.

Absolutely amazing! The pacing and the controls are a bit more intense compared to It Takes Two, so my girlfriend had to adapt a bit (she does not play games) but in the end we never had much issues. I recommend for you to play as the brown haired girl if you play with a casual gamer, as she seems to have more difficult phases.

And damn, the set pieces, the bosses, the side worlds, the high level of polish.. this game is bloody brilliant and feels like a step above It Takes Two!

Can't wait to continue tomorrow.

I love playing local coop with my best friend.
We are 2 old fuck who play coop games together when possible.
In last 10 years we played a ton. All gears games, all EDF games (best coop ever), edf 6 last year and of course THESE games.

We have a meta with hazelight games. It is to play them when it's fucking scorching hot outside. Deep into the night (or mornig). Playing it takes two and sweating buckets was a different kind of pain that bonds people lol.
so yes. Looking forward to playing this. probably on ps5 pro if it's 60fps

(jesus christ, play edf people, it's amazing... you can start with 4 and see if you like it)
