I haven't touched the game for months as I want to enjoy it in the best possible way. Should have been delayed tho as it clearly needed a lot more work.

Can't wait to jump in tho (in a year?).

I bought it, I refunded it as soon as it was obvious to me how lacking it was in certain areas and how long it was taking to implement the missing stuff.

I'll be in once again when the missing stuff is back IF it turns out they did a good job with it.

Why is "Critical A-Life Fixes" checked? A-Life is still pretty much non-existent in the game...
And they are promising all that for Q2? 5 months have gone by since release and the updates have been few and quite slow to roll off and suddenly they can deliver all that in the next quarter?
I find it hard to believe, I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm gonna try the game again when a life is gonna reach parity with the old games.

Thry are still not quite there yet.

Same here. I was hyped for this but after the poor launch it fell off my radar. Glad to jump in when it's left early access.

I always wait 3 years after release before i even consider buying a AAA Game these days. Saves money and i get the best version possible + reliable mods that may give qoL improvements.

It's funny and interesting how they show the roadmap😅😅

I want to play it (I've only had 5 hours of play), but I have a lot of games to finish and more are coming soon... Maybe waiting and coming back to Stalker 2 later would be better because all those improvements will already be available and it will be a better experience.

You guys are missing out. A lot has already been fixed since launch (it was rough, real rough). It's an amazing game filled with atmosphere. I haven't beaten it yet, have 40+ hours in but only got to the clearsky base. I am too busy with KCD2. I rotate depending on mood as they are vastly different in atmosphere. Stalker dark, gloomy, rainy, and kcd2 bright sunny.

I really don't think some people know how to play these style games (same with kcd) and have fun with it. If you are only playing to "Get through" then you are doing it wrong.
You play for the atmosphere, for exploration, for what is over there, what can I find. Emmergent stories happen, etc...

The main and side quests in stalker 2 are great, the a-life stuff does need additions, I won't say it doesn't but the game is totally playable and an amazing time the way it is. I can't speak for further on but up to clearsky its been a blast.

Unless those mods are broken by a patch and mod makers have already moved on because the broken game never caught on lol

Will buy this when all of the Alife stuff has been properly fixed. It's frustrating that they didn't just delay the game and release it when it was actually finished.

We live in a shit time for most video games. They release way too early, most features missing and take way too long in dev for the product at launch. Early Access is an excuse most of the time

I've been waiting to start it. Sounds like I will probably play sometime in September. I assume it's on GP for a year, and leaving in November.

I don't wait that long but yea I agree. I try to wait as long as I can to play a game. DS2 will probably the first one in a long time that I'm there for day 1. Maybe expedition 33 but I don't skeptical about that game.

Will play this next year probably or maybe end of this yr if its in a good place. I hope there still going to update the original trilogy on PC aswell, they did mention it a few months back, would be perfect for Ally/Steamdeck .

I would like controller support for the original games on PC.
Can't stand mouse and keyboard gaming.

I always wanted mutant loot, glad they're adding that in. (y)

I explored around ~65% of the map, primarily side-questing, and decided to take a break. I'm looking forward to diving back in at some point to finish the story.

I love how this game was released 6 months ago but everyone pretends still in EA. Thanking the devs and all that bullshit.
Modern gaming is fucking crazy. Pay full price now, get a "roadmap" six months after the purchase to let you know when it'll be potentially near-complete and mostly like the product you thought you bought.

Yea I used to love keyboard and mouse, I still do butas im more casual now days I just like to lean back and use a controller. Keep an eye out as they might add controller support, I jist dug out a tweet from them back at the end of last year and they do mention an update for the original games on PC.

I will wait for the innevitable 'game of the year edition' or whatever it will be called, you know it will come.

A-life still not being fixed means I will not play

Gaming today, hey? It's fucked that a game at launch isn't ready and still, months later, they are constantly working on fixing it up! A delay would've been far better yet instead, people who purchased it early are beta testers for these people. Pathetic. But hey, $80 for a completed Mario Kart game is just the absolute worst...

Stalker 2 really does put into perspective that $80 for Mario Kart 2 isn't much. I can guarantee all the people who paid $60 for Stalker 2 would have gladly coughed up $20 more for a finished product instead of waiting god only knows how long for the devs to give it to them for free.

Yeah this. I enjoyed the first couple of hours I played on release. But glad I put it back on the shelf. I'll come back to this in another 12 months I think

And if you don't go along with it you're a chud or whatever. Crazy how far up the ass some of these modern consoomers like it to take from the AAA games industry.

That being said, I am hella interested in the next-gen updates for the OG trilogy, yes sir.

Its sad, I get it a-life is not 100% , but the rest of the game is fine and you can play to completion doing quests and sidequests.
We will see less and less of single player games if you guys don't buy them.

But go on buy that cod release #18 and its nikki manaj skin for next season, or what ever shit gass game you play for multiplayer.
What do you all play, gaas shit? As that is really the only modern shooters we get anymore. AS someone who can't stand modern multiplayer or woke shit, Stalker 2 was a breath of fresh air, and it felt like i was suffocating for a long time!

How many single player shooters (ones with rpg elements) do we get anymore? Hardly none. These dudes were also in a warzone, so some leeway should be given.
As a og stalker fan, I gladly bought the game on day 1. I knew it would be a buggy mess going in, all stalker games were. They fix them and if you play on pc the mods are always incredible.

As someone who put a lot of time in the game, I can tell you its a blast. If all you play for is random encounters (they still happen, just sometimes janky, like duplicate mutants spamming ), then you still get them, they just have a distant limit from where they spawn in. You don't notice.
Example: I have been on my way to the next quest and seen some bandits fighting stalkers, only to have 6 roving mutant boars come rushing in to attack them both. I waited in the bushes, and let them sort it out. Killed the stragelers and took the loot.

What you are not going to see is npcs taking over territory etc.. Right now it's more like Read dead , or Dragons Dogma2 random events system. I expect them to flesh this out in the future. Again I can't stress this enough, the game is completely playable from start to finish and from what I have played so far around 40 hours in. Its been a blast!!!

Single player, Semi-horror open world in a non woke world with grit and dark atmosphere, and awesome guns and upgrade system. We don't get games like this.

Ah yea I need to buy broken unfinished games in order to save the genre. I also don't buy COD at all. I'll stick to spending my money on the small devs who actually release finished games that aren't a broken mess. These devs don't need articles written about how they fixed 1800 bugs in one patch.

That's why when I saw everybody excited for Oblivion remake/remaster, I was kind of surprised as the game is probably going to be "broken" at launch. And if mods are a possibility, they're going to be limited.

I'll buy it eventually. For me personally, I am too busy with way too many games in my queue. I loved the original trilogy as well. I may as well wait for patches and a sale. I do not have time for multiple playthroughs anymore. I hate playing a game "early" and missing out on added content and dlc. Games like cyberpunk. Not sure why I should pre-order a game I know will be a buggy mess.
