This one looks great and I never heard of it. Is it anything like Hyper Light Drifter? Loved that one.
It's kind of similar, but UNSIGHTED has a tightly designed open map, that you can approach/explore in whatever order you want. It's so open that sometimes you might think that you are sequence breaking the game, but it's intended.

Also, the combat is parry-based. But it's fair: multiple enemies always attack in turn with a certain rhythm, and it's fun to parry them in sequence.

The pixel art is really good too, it really adds to the atmosphere of the game.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife

Sounds like something I could enjoy a lot. Thanks for the recommendation!

How did I miss this? Makes me wonder how many cool indies I miss out on because there's so much shit to wade through.

Just played the demo. Absolutely badass. Defo grabbing this tomorrow if it's on sale.

Do you follow any PC centric YouTubers? You’ll hear about the gems.

GAF is the last place you’ll learn about good indies.

I follow a couple but I don’t watch much gaming stuff on YouTube anymore so I’m out of the loop. Any channel recommendations?

As somebody that has owned both of them in the past but things came up so I had to return them (ie decided to go on vacation and then had to fix my car) yes. 100% yes.

The screen on the OG is fucking trash, battery is better on OLED, and 90hz OLED is amazing.
Needs to be emphasized just how crappy the base Steam Deck screen is. I bought one, I liked it, I don’t regret it, I sold it for different reasons, but I wouldn’t buy another device with that screen quality again in 2024 or later.

It’s why I am not too excited about Switch 2 honestly, and am planning to wait for an OLED version.

Nice. Thanks for the heads up. No brainer at that price.

Really liking these Vampire Survivors clones

I actually ended up refunding DRG survivor. This was when it first came out so imagine it's progressed but it just didn't suck me in. Only a few characters, only a few biomes, upgrades felt really samey and boring. The secondary "objective" of mining while running around was cool compared to other VS clones but I just felt it lacked content. I'll probably check it out closer to 1.0.

With VS still getting dlc, brotato just getting dlc, and halls of torment and death must die being so good, I got my fill of these games for now lol.

Got so far:

Rush Rally 3
Rush Rally Origins
Shiren
System Shock Bundle (Humble Bundle)
1€ Leisure Suit Larry Bundle (Fanatical)
1€ Oddworld Bundle (Fanatical)

If any of you guys want some of the Oddworld older games, let me know. Region: Germany, but should work elsewhere too.

Those are the two that I follow.

I think at this point in the life of the devices I would choose a ROG Ally over the Steam Deck especially since the Ally is currently $499 and has much better performance possibilities despite not being as nice of an experience to actually use. Plus it has a good screen even if it's not OLED with usable color and 120hz.

I swear there was someone in this thread who was gonna buy Total war Warhammer 3 but searched and couldn't find the post. Oh well.

Eneba has the whole total war Warhammer trilogy for ~$21 after their BFGAME coupon code. I took that deal, been wanting to get into it for awhile.

Thought about getting Nioh and Sekiro, but I'm not very good at those kinds of games.

Sekiro is a bit different than the other souls type games, it's very memorization and rhythm heavy. Some people even call it a rhythm game. The beginning seems more souls like, but after a while it's more about getting into a rhythm response based groove.

It's the most rewarding action game I've ever played, and it honestly gets better with subsequent replays.

I’ve already clocked 6 hours lol. Great gameplay and production values. Ghost Ship Games are amazing devs.

This VS clone is also very good

Haha! That was the first VS type game I played. I didn't even know the genre existed until after finishing boneraiser minions.

It is great, highly recommended. Especially for any folks out there who like zoomancer builds.
