Steam Autumn Sale, Nov. 27 - Dec. 4 at 10 AM Pacific

Yeah, the days of good Steam sales are long gone unfortunately.
I wanna say the good ol' Steam sales of the past haven't been a thing since like 2007-2010ish. I remember back then, most people avoided Steam and got their games from other sites that didn't require a launcher. That's probably why the sales were so good, to get people to migrate to Steam, which they don't need to do anymore.

That sounds about right to me time wise. Maybe a couple years after that. I can always tell how long people have been PC gaming by how they react to Steam sales lol

Would like to pick up Uncharted legacy of thieves for $20, but the first 3 games are still not available. :( Not buying 4 unless I can also get 1-3 on Steam.

it's very tempting, Uncharted 4 is probly my favorite of the series.

So far, I bought the a few VR games.
Rhombus of Ruin for 3.99
Arizona Sunshine Remake (already have the original)
Arizona Sunshine 2 looks so much better than the 1st.

And I caved. Went ahead and bought.
Avatar Pandora
and
Psychonauts 2. I have this on PC Gamepass but if I ever leave gamepass I now own it. :)

Rush Rally 3 is really awesome. Especially on the Steam Deck. Best Rally game for quick sessions.

Just checked. Dropped a cool 12.8 hours into this a couple months ago.

Yep got it for the Deck specifically, I've been looking for something that scratches the itch of the earlier Colin Mcrae titles and this looks promising.

I actually have no idea what to expect with this one other than the fact that I'll get my ass kicked.

I think you’ll like it. The handling and physics are very similar to that.

I ended up grabbing it on Steam after playing it on Switch. The Switch has digital triggers which blow for racing games. It plays phenomenally on Steam Deck with analog triggers.

Just a heads up for NeoGeo Pocket Collection buyers, Volume 1 doesn't contain SNK Vs. Capcom: The Match Of The Millennium like it did on Switch but it can be purchased as a standalone and is also on deep discount.

Nice. Thanks for the heads up. No brainer at that price.

Really liking these Vampire Survivors clones

Picked up the GTA Trilogy remastered for the Steam Deck. Also bought Bloons TD6 to remember the good old day of internet flash games (newgrounds.com)... That was a mistake, it's like crack, I put in almost 4 hours into it in one evening 🤦‍♂️

Some other recommendations:

My personal 2021 GOTY, a Zelda-like with a non-linear structure. The map is a blast to explore and the parry based combat is well-made.

A very story heavy grappling-hook based action platformer. Once you master the movement it feels incredibly satisfying. And the story is really good (might be a bit verbose at times though).

A visual novel that mixes anime and western artstyles. A fun short romp with high production values.

It's Monolith Soft, I don't have to say no more.

A huge precision platformer Metroidvania. If you like hard platforming mixed with combat, this is it.

An addicting action RPG with an interesting story (the new translation should be better than whatever machine translation I played it with at the time)

By far the best modern indie JRPG. If you like JRPGs it is a must play.

Action puzzler where you play as an avatar in a online MMO world. The story starts pretty vanilla, but then... I won't say more.

You like classic Ninja Gaiden? Then hit the "Add to cart" button.

The best platformer ever made.

Double post but who cares:

Excellent 2D survival horror.

Boss rush game with excellent combat and good music.

Point and click game with a pretty good story. I played it ages ago so it might a bit clunkier than I remember, but worth a try.

Very fun action platformer, a mix of Ninja Gaiden and Metroidvania.

Atmospheric point and click game, the story goes places.

You gonna cry.

This is just a fun FPS with soma Katana combat. Much better than the 2 sequels.

Pretty good tactical RPG that takes inspiration from Ogre Battle and Fire Emblem.

A CRPG where you work for the bad guy. Your choices actually matter.

Half-Life clone. Pretty fun. Made by a single dev.

i'm going to chime in and agree with the comments about the steam sales being rubbish the last few years, there are games that have been out for years at this point that are still 30+ bux, i remember if you waited a year you could pick up games for nothing because the sales were huge

This is one of the best sales they've had in ages.

Looks amazing, thank you.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife

This one looks great and I never heard of it. Is it anything like Hyper Light Drifter? Loved that one.

Cross posting from the hidden gems thread:

Cyber Knights - Tactical RPG similar to XCOM but in a Cyberpunk setting. It's in early access but well worth a spin if you're a fan of tactical RPG's:

And two of the previous games from the same developer:

Star Traders is really deep spacefaring RPG/strategy/tactical game, where combat plays out similar to battles in darkest dungeon. At it's current price I'd say it's a must try. If you need a guide refer to this one:

Templar Battleforce:

--------

I'll also be grabbing the following since the original Fear Effect games will finally be getting a steam release next year:

And It Lurks Below (apparently it's 2D Diablo from one of the main creators of Diablo 1 and 2):
