I hope he will be hired by Sony as 1st party developer or he will join Shift up development team.

There is no worse match than Sony (PS Studios) and Yoko Taro. Sony is more likely to hire staff from Bioware.

Shift Up on the other hand... he'd fit perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised if that eventually happened.

I agree, since SE very much ignored Yoko, Shift up is an excellent company for Yoko Taro. Shift up technical skills and Yoko Taro's great story telling will be a perfect marriage of two minds.

This great and all and I enjoyed Stellar Blade but………..when Yoko Taro gonna make me new NieR/Drakengard game? Come on Taro.
Future unclear since SE axed Nier Reincarnation from mobile devices. So now it's a waiting game of when we get DoD3 on something that isn't a PS3(probably stranded there though), Automata 2, a new game or if it happens we will have to settle for Astral Chain 2.

YoRHa 2B may as well be the 2nd coming of KOS-MOS since the most action they have been getting is a ton of collabs.

But that’s mobile gatcha game, that doesn’t mean SE has no interest in Nier/Drakengard game.

But we are not getting Automata 2 mostly because Yoko Taro doesn’t do direct sequels. If we do get Nier it will be new casts and takes place decade after Automata.

Depends really. Could easily just go down a different ending path from any of the Drakengards or Replicant/Gestalt. In any case I've love a indirect sequel where whatever cast actually goes after the Watchers. They tend to have some presence in all the games in one way or another.

We have medieval fantasy, post apocalyptic with Automata. Would be interesting if Taro took a crack at future Sci-Fi on existentialism.

Though outside of DoD2 I'd imagine if we got another indirect sequel we would follow tradition and use Ending E as a baseline that leads to a supposed new game. If one was made with the context of what happens there might be a few returning characters from Automata and based on weapon descriptions Emil is probably guaranteed. As well as his perpetual suffering.

Which makes the most sense, because Automata's story is closed nicely. The point is that SE isn't investing big money in other than Final Fantasy.

I would love a faux remake of the Drakengard games mashed into 2 instead of 3 and a stronger tie-in with Nier.

So is this game actually good or is it just the fan service?
It was alright. Probably the definition of the most mediocre game I might have ever played.
The gameplay loop itself is slightly unbalanced, as the most efficient way to play is just rushing onto an enemy, spaming the attack button, using all your R1, L1 powers and clicking the parry button when the light glows. The game throws shit tons of weaponery at you, but most of that stuff is absolutely useless, besides the sections where they strip your gear and force you to use them.
My biggest dissapointment was that you spend basically the whole game in the empty deserts. Also, the characters are as unlikeable at the end, as they are at the beginning. There's no growth throughout the story. And the story itself is just a mix up of stories from other games mashed up together, with It's delivery being pretty laughable, but that's probably because the voice acting was soo baaadd lmao

The music itself was servicable but pretty forgetable. The only track I remember was that annoying shit that played in the wastelands lol

I wouldnt pay 70$ for this game If you dont care for the goon shit, but if you get It for cheap, or from ps plus, then you can always give It a try and share your thoughts.

I bet it’s just character skins. I was hoping we’d get new bosses. Skins make NG++… a lot of fun and new items? Still unclear what all is with the paid content.

Hello, Stellar Blade fans! Thank you for your continued love and support. Stellar Blade’s journey was fueled by your passion, and our fans motivated us to face every challenge. We are excited to share two special announcements with you today.

The moment you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived! A fantastic collaboration where the worlds of Stellar Blade and Nier:Automata meet.

Nier:Automata significantly inspired Stellar Blade. The collaboration between Director Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro, marked by mutual respect and creativity, led to this successful outcome.

In the center of all this is Emil (voiced by Maii Kadowaki), the strange character from Nier:Automata. Emil’s Shop makes a surprise appearance in the world of Stellar Blade where eleven different collaboration-special items will be available. Items that intertwine the best of both games, leading you to a more enriched world.

You can now transform each moment in the game into your personal masterpiece. Beautiful landscape, thrilling battles, those emotional moments with the characters… Capture these moments to your heart’s content. Meticulous camera work and various filters allow you to create unique looks.

Go through different poses to discover new looks that you never knew Eve and her comrades had. Share these photographs of special moments to enjoy a new kind of amusement.

Patch updates you shouldn’t miss

Four new costumes and one new accessory are added to bring more personality to the characters.

The new accessory, ‘Symbol of Legacy’ changes the appearance and presentation of the Tachy Mode when equipped. Revitalize your gaming experience with updated cosmetics.

Also, lip-sync support for six additional languages (French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish) will let you enjoy the vivid dialogues even more.

Your camp break just got more fun—you can now pick a specific song from the turntable to listen to.

We also expanded character customization for Eve and added a “No Ponytail” feature to the list from Ponytail Length.

More fun is added to battle. Auto-targeting and ballistics correction features will be applied to the enemy insta-kill skills. This will make the already intense and dynamic battles even more exciting.

It's much more likely that Ni3R will occur sometime during the ten thousand year period between NieR Replicant and Automata
