What time is it?
Too bad the votes aren't public.

I'd like to see how much of the Gaffers claiming they are the 'hardcore installbases' and who look down on casuals play less than 10 hrs a week.

My 'non-gaming' gf spends more time a week playing poker on her phone.

You are a filthy casual compared to your girlfriend, confirmed!

I got my first system in my 20s and probably gamed a couple hours a week. My job was a lot of deploying and 16-18 hour days and on certain deployments, around the clock.

I have been retired since my 30s and I’m 44 now and play even less at about a couple hours a month or so. I cannot stare at a TV for too long and my other hobbies are all out door like skydiving and rock climbing so there really isn’t much time I suppose.

Funny story, I do remember I was playing Bloodborne when it was first released and I just had been in front of the TV for three hours straight and the wife did say, “have you lost your fucking face?” I was stationed at Eglin AFB for the F-35 standup and had to go unaccompanied for five years so I assume she wanted some of my time, well fuck that. No I did listen. Probably the longest ever spent in front of a monitor, though. Best game of my life.

I love games and wish I could put more to it, but I guess a few of my hobbies are more interesting at this point.

I'm able to fit in an hour or two pretty much every night after my kid is put to bed and I'm just chilling with my wife.

So I'd say probably 10-15 hours a week on average for me.

With a full time 50 hr workweek, and a family, and a house and yard to maintain, and these dreaded things known as social relationships, it’s a struggle to fit in time for gaming.

Which sucks cause I love games. But it is what it is.

I'm one of the guilty. Playing New World and it's a treat.

I might even skip MonHun Wilds , because performance on PC looks janky af and I don't quite like the new direction Capcom is taking. They're making the game way to easy to please my grand ma

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Working-Out, reading, going out, among other things makes it very challenging.
I have a job, read, code my own shit, hang out with family and friends and even manage to insert my sexual appendix into female specimens. No workout tho, too lazy.

There's a lot of time, but you gotta know how to manage it. I'm lucky tho, doing work from home means I don't have to commute anymore, and that's a +2 hours of free-time 5 times a week already.

It goes in waves for me. I can have a couple of months straight with "80 hours last 2 weeks" on Steam. And then I might have 5 a week for a couple of months.

Doesn't surprise me, most people talk about games more than they play them. I'm the opposite, I play more games now than when I was a teenager or even in my 20's when I was always out and about. Now, I'm older, I don't drink/smoke, I don't party. No kids around, I have plenty of free time and have the money to indulge in a way I didn't back then. The average person watches 3 hours of TV a day, I replace that time with games, I literally don't watch TV at all.

That’s why 100+ hour campaigns shouldn’t be the norm. It took me 5 months to finish Elden Ring..
That's why games like Elden Ring are so great, though. They could be 10 hours or 500 hours and it wouldn't matter. They aren't story heavy games where you forget what happened the last time you played.

I get way less than 5hrs every week. Most weeks it's closer to 0-1 hr. I don't know why I'm still so interested in games cause I barely play them anymore.

If you’re an adult with a wife I don’t see how you have more than 6-7 hours a week of gaming time. I’m lucky to get 4
If your wife is also a gamer, they’ll put way more than that.

how come it has to be so organized? You can play a couple games and do whatever you need to do. What gripes me is that I hear some people say they can’t play FF7 Rebirth because they can’t focus. I felt like the story stuff wasn’t even that long at times and I could pause or save the game whenever I wanted to. It doesn’t have to be that serious. Enjoy the pause screen and the music while you work or do something else.
