God is this series so good. This episode was sweet and heartwarming. Seeing Ren as a baby was too cute. The end to the episode was great, just seeing Candy Lady and Ren sleep next to each other.

I love this episode and you're so right, baby Ren is soooooo adorable and cuuuuuuuute ~~~. Candy Lady really did well this episode.

Gatchaman Crowds Insight Episode 1: This episode was a big fat pile of nothing. Episode 0 was far better than the actual first episode due to it actually showing some plot, introducing Rui's gatcha form, having some action and showing what happened to Katze.

What happened in this episode?

An alien girl landed who has no real traits other than being eternally happy and optimistic, it introduced a girl who I have no real idea about because her characterization kept flying all over the place and the dialogue was really hard to follow, and then she just became a Gatchaman out of nowhere.

The scene where she became a Gatchaman was utter "wut"
It made no sense. That little boy saw her and said "look, it's Tsubasa!" and started running towards her, and then the press all turned to start shouting for Tsubasa like she was important even though she clearly isn't, and she fulfills some weird criteria for being a gatchman by... telling the press what dicks they are for knocking over a little kid? like that's it?

What happened in that scene? what happened in this episode? it was a mess of a script from start to finish. It was just a bunch of people sat around talking for most of the episode and then suddenly "you're a gatchaman Harry!"

I like the show but its idea of pacing is just shocking.

I have to say I really love shows like this and Barakamon, you could say I have a soft spot for them. Just a comfy and relaxing anime that you could pretty much recommend to anyone.

So many good relaxing shows out there that AnimeGAF has filled me in with, it's probably my favorite genre really; especially when the art style just exudes cute and cuddly and makes you want to hug everything.

Pretty good! Got several laughs out of me. Main character looks funny, but he's spunky. A few too many still frame shots. And those translucent bugs looked bad. Hope the story doesn't focus too much on the highschool though =/. Definitely will keep watching.

Man was that great just seeing the whole crew look for edible plants and the brother just munching on plants. I really love Candy Lady's interactions with Ren, so good. The funky segment with Ren was just hilarious and cute. It was sad seeing everyone wave their hands towards the end.

I really need Season 2 to air ASAP because man is this series just a great comfy watch. If Season 2 is more of the same show it will definitely be one of my contenders for AOTS. It's just that good. It doesn't rely on unnecessary fanservice or terrible jokes but just showing the realistic behaviors of children out in the country.

Also wasn't there a article that pretty much summed up that Non Non Biyori provides a picture of what schools out in the country in Japan seem like? That most carry a few students and all.

Yeah, a while after I saw the show a discussion occurred on AnimeGAF and someone brought up an article about how the real situation in Japan isn't exactly all the funny. Seeing 5-10 students in an entire school and in different grades and things of that nature. I do love Non Non Biyori so much though and the real life situation gave me a different perspective on NNB.

One of my favorites ever, AoTF like so many others I've seen. S2 starts on the 7th right? It'll be so good, sooooo gooooood~.

i feel strange and a little disappointed that i didn't enjoy Gatchaman Crowds as much as I feel I should've. I generally adore Nakamura's works (Mononoke, Trapeze, Tsuritama) but Crowds just wasn't doing it for me for whatever reason.

Except for the music though. I remember that being awesome.

I'd say go ahead and watch the first Insight ep and ep 0 to see if you're feeling similarly afterwards. I don't recall being too hot about the series while it aired either, but those two episodes were really fun and are making me eager about where the show's going to go from here.

So Rui is the force behind the Galax and provides help for the World. Also what's up with the guy that just kisses people and then turns into them. He most likely has a bigger role. Loved the teamwork with Hajime leading the group in order to announce that the milk was dangerous.

Rokka no Yuusha - 1
I liked it, quite a bit actually. Opening action scene was a lot of fun. Mid section was over expositiony and wasn't handled as well. But I'm hoping that was just for set-up and won't be the norm. A few instances of clunky CG, but I suppose thats inevitable these days. Gonna keep watching. Cautiously hopeful.
