More rumor with positive things about this recent screening this time:

We've now heard from a well-placed source who has spoken to people who have seen the movie, and their feedback was a lot more positive.
Apparently, Superman was described as "Guardians of Galaxy-level good," and while some of the VFX was unfinished, a "lot of the shots were polished enough with seven months to go" before release. Those in attendance (that shared their opinions) reportedly "loved the movie."
Everything points to it being just ok, which is sad.

I honestly expect a huge movie with bold vision for the first entry of a new cinematic universe. It being "Guardians of Galaxy-level good" is nowhere near what I want it to be.

I always got the feeling that Gunn was playing it very safe with a "guaranteed" blockbuster. And for those you might not want it to be too bold, just entertaining and family-friendly. Hopefully it gets good numbers so that they feel more confident in having interesting sequels.

Firstly, why should we care about this guy opinion?
Secondly, he his saying this just because he BELIEVES a movie won't be test screen 7 months before releasing. Not because he has some insider info or anything.
He's the dude responsible for the behind the scenes portions of Fellowship and two towers for the Lord of the Rings home releases. He's produced and edited for a number of TV shows, the Olympics and even directed a movie or 3. Point is, he IS connected and has Hollywood Bonafides so I would believe him over Jeff Sneider.

He also did a lot of the Star Trek BD special features.

Thanks for the heads-up! But it's weird because a number of movies were tested well before their release (like this Superman apparently).

Now do I believe Sneider? Hell nah lmao, this dude is full of shit. Best is to wait and see as always.

I think he's just cautious because any Tom Dick or Harry can say "I saw a test screening and the movie sucks!" Without some explanation of the plot, it just sounds like "trust me bro"

Days like these...

Have a Blessed Day
Of what has been revealed so far very little has appealed to me. Not hating on the film or those who are hyped for it but unless there are tons of gaffers saying it's azmazing after seeing it I'll pass.

I remember following scoops on Batman vs Superman and Justice League very closely with some of the more enthusiastic movie forums back in the day. I remember the claims of standing ovations for BvS, and the people who got to see these films early, hinting off that the movies were great. It's pretty much the reason I stopped giving a shit about leaks, rumors, scoops, etc, and eventually adopted the attitude of whatever happens happens. I really enjoyed the MCU, but DC has always been more of my jam, and the Snyder - "Whedon-At-Home" Era of DC films killed my enthusiasm for comic book movies. That said, Superman is my #1 favorite, so I hope this will be good. But if it's not, well at least it's par for the course. Nothing I'm not used to.

Yep. WB are the kings of this kind of horseshit. No reason to suspect anything is different now.
