Switch 2 is the easiest day 1 purchase in gaming history ever

The console will be very easy to get just like the PS5 pro because of the higher price and games.

Mario kart at $80 or $500 with a bundle isn't going to move this console like the first one.
The PS5 Pro is a mid gen refresh that is extremely high priced and to most ppl is debatable if it's actually worth it.

Switch 2 is the next generation Nintendo console with decent tech for a handheld, is reasonably priced and launches with MK. Trying to compare it with PS5 Pro is beyond stupid

There are no system sellers yet for this...which for me would be mainline 3D Mario or Zelda.

If anything waiting for updated chip model with better battery life/OLED model might make sense.
Oh yeah since I plan to wait. Might as well get the Oled but I usually dont do handheld so Oled might not matter but could change my mind and start doing more handheld gaming at that point.

I would like to see what their next big 3D adventure like Mario game would be. Should look amazing with their usual bright vibrant colors combined with Switch 2 tech.

The ps5 pro blows the switch 2 out of the water technically and it ain't even close. I think the ps5 pro is pointless but the tech specs of the switch 2 don't impress me and i haven't seen anything on the console that looks jaw dropping graphically.

Yeah, besides DK Bananza there is missing a new Zelda or 3D Mario (although i'm ok with DK as a substitution for a new 3D Mario) Mario Kart looks nice but nothing i have to have day one.
Or seriously a new F-Zero, because why not? or a Wave Racer sequel.

It's Nintendo you know if you love how Nintendo do it or not, if you do you buy if you don't you get on with your life. Easiest gaming purchase decision ever.

For the record I've pre-ordered the MK bundle of course I'm there at launch, and what a joyous day it will be. That launch day anticipation never gets old and neither does being a part of the whole pleasuregasm over the following months with your shiny new console and games. You only get so many console launches in a lifetime, enjoy them.

Are you slow? I'm comparing the difference between a mid gen refresh and an entirely new console launch...not the technical specs between the two.

Most ppl would be more interested in a Switch 2 because it has Next Gen Nintendo exclusives whereas PS5 Pro is just a PS5 but slightly better. The selling points are COMPLETELY different.

N64 day one and ps2 day one were great purchases. I went home with Mario 64 and was blown away.

For me it was easy decision, I like majority of Nintendo games and I go where Monolith Soft goes.

But in other hand actually trying pre-order this thing….
anime-bubble.gif
nahhhhh, that would make sense if a Monolith game was launching on Switch 2

Right now I'm buying based on Bravely Default remaster, but I'm willing to wait to replay that if I have to as I love the IP, but this is a luxury day 1 buy lol

I'm on thin ice with em right now and anything can get me off that pre-order. So I'd argue that would have been an easy day 1 if a Monolith game was even launching with the system

I'm definitely considering buy NS2. I didn't care for the first Switch because of the horrible performance. I just ripped the carts and played the game on Yuzu instead. I'd rather not go to the hassle though. If Switch 2 gives me games and decent image quality and performance then I'll buy it.

I'm not going to go nuts trying to preorder the thing though.

I personally rather Monolith Soft take their time to release their game instead of rushing to make launch date. I'm also super excited for MKWorld and Bravely remaster coming at launch and the new DK game coming next month.

So I have no reason not to buy it at launch.

The discounted Mario Kart bundle deal will be gone in a year or two. Things are only getting more expensive. Most likely people will have to spend more if they want a Switch 2 after the launch period, especially if they buy Mario Kart World as not part of the bundle.
Yes in fantasy land switch 2 will $450 in 2025, $500 in 2026, $550 in 2027 and so on, Thosands of dollars of gaming entertainment value....

I think there will be an initial surge that will buy one at any price, then demand will drop off. Obviously will still sell many millions more but I don't think we'll see anything like the switch sales curve simply due to the higher pricing,

For many people, the Switch 2, while being a new console launch, actually could have significantly less value if all you do is play Nintendo games (like me). There's only MKW at launch. And while I like Mario Kart, it's not really a game I'd list as a must have. It's kind of a novelty when people are around. I am not buying third party games on Switch 2 hardware.

Meanwhile, PS5 Pro offers tangible benefits to many existing games and all games going forward. If that is your primary place to play, it could easily be seen as more valuable.

Wow, incredible nonsense. When's the last time you checked in on emulation? Early 2000s?
In early 2000 there were no emulators for consoles with shader based GPU, Switch wasn't around either. But I pirated a lot when I was younger and had games breaking due to emulation not being perfect, so now that I can pay for my stuff I'll play everything on actual hardware.

Not for me, I'm not graphic whore enough that I'm willing pay $950 +100 for disc drive just for graphical update and I wont be missing out any game since it will never gets in own exclusives.

Switch 2 other hand will have its own exclusive that wont be released on original Switch and more than happy to buy day one for Mario Kart since I spend close to 700 hours on MK8D.

day one for me. optionality on the scalp always helps.

I scalped a PS5 after playing it for a week. All depends on what others are willing to pay me to wait.

I did the same with gpus. I sold them right out of my gaming pcs. and then every time I got a replacement...people still wanted to pay much more than it cost me. (I didn't pc game for 6+ months ...and then never got back into it after the mining craze ended. The habit was broken. /dear diary)

In short: You don´t have the slightest clue about the current state of emulation but still thought it a good idea to splurt a completely made up opinion about it.....

The nintendo fans have been good for a few laughs these past few weeks hahaha. At least this guys not as delusional as the dude who thought mario kart was going to outsell GTA6

Cracking Up Lol GIF
Even I damn near refuse to ALMOST believe that. GTA6 is gonna be the biggest selling game ever, at worst #2.

Best launch line up ever- in terms of both quality and quantity for first and third party games
-Mario, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Zelda, Metriod, Pokemon, Elden Ring, Hyrule Warriors, Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, Cyberpunk, Yakuza, FromSoft new IP exclusive, Hogwarts, Fortnite, Sonic, Civilization, EA Sports, etc. HOLY ****!

Cheap launch price especially when it will likely be more expensive later on due to the trade war
-$450 is a steal. I'm not waiting to spend more in 2026. Seeing the current events it will cost at least $500 next year and will never have a price drop just like the Switch 1

Will be sold out everywhere and extremely hard to find
- FOMO and hype level is at all time high for any gaming system in history right now. Preordering day will be a national event.

Upgrade to all thousands of Switch 1 games day 1
- Better graphics and frame rates and loading for absolutely free. Bigger and better screen for handheld mode too. There is no better way to play Switch 1 games period.

Really good deal for Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle
- $50 for a AAA game fun for 1000 hours in both single and multiplayer sessions. Remember this discounted bundle deal is time limited, so it's only for the launch period

GameChat will not be free for late adopters
-Will be free to everyone until the end of March 2026, meaning early adopters get a year-long trial to see if the service is for them

Gameshare is the most pro-consumer friendly feature from any gaming dev
-Just own one game and you can play multiplayer with others using Switch 1 or Switch 2, locally or online. No need to own extra copies. Support this feature X100000% now everyone!

I just don't see how any other gaming system can beat this in the future. Nintendo really hit this out of the park!
Kids around the world are going ape shit!
Mommy and daddy are ready to make little Jimmy happy, NS2 will be the best present for toddlers, and since the gamecards has been bad taste proofed if children get their cards in their little mouths they will spit them right away. God bless Nintendo for thinking about them children.

Look at them all waiting for the SW2 to be released and the tooth fairy putting one below the pillow for little Jimmy.

The 1080p, 120hz LCD screen with HDR? That's like passing on an 8/10 that's INTO YOU at closing at a bar; you'll regret it.
We all regret playing the original until we got the upgraded OLED. Then it was awesome. DF just did a thing on it and it's not mini led either.

Edit: all they had to do was spend a few dollars more with that price and get the money back on one 1st party game sold

I'm with OP on this. I think it's gonna be an awesome launch, and I don't mind the price (of the console) either.

But then again, I get excited over all new console releases. Same thing with the PS5, XSX, Rift 3, etc etc.

I'm just a consumer whore!
Awesome launch ?

For a console launch, you need new games. There's only Mario Kart World for now at launch.
Then 1.5 months later DK Bananza.

We have no release date for Prime 4, which is not exclusive.

So for 1.5 months I'm gonna play Mario Kart World... I have it already preordered, as I had a lot of gift cards prepared for this, so I had to use them as they expire at the end of the year. And I know I would have got one in the end anyway.

Don't get me wrong, Mario Kart is cool, but it always has been a fun side dish for me, not the main course.
DK is my main course here, it feels fresh and new, but it's a bit far from the launch honestly.

It makes me think of the GC launch, the wait for SSBM was unsufferable :messenger_grinning_sweat: but at least we had SW Rogue leader 2, Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race at launch day. And SSBM was less then a month from launch. THIS was a good launch.

Unless MP4, (which again, is not exclusive and not really original because it brings nothing new to the formula as we speak, so its impact won't be the same) is released in June, this is not a good launch. It's just OK.

I don't actually use AdBlock here, though I would say that ads have gotten pretty annoying on mobile due to them being broken.

Seriously. There was like an entire weekend that I couldn't access the site because my shitty phone would freeze up when it tried to load the ads, lol.

Back on topic, I just want US preorders to open so that I know if I'll even be able to own one of these fucking things before 2026.

Tbh, that makes more sense for a day 1 buy then anything regarding Monolith

I don't care enough about those IP outside of Bravely Default to do a day 1 purchase and even for a remaster, that day 1 buy is a deep, deep luxury one lol

It will be collecting dust until Animal Crossing, a Xenoblade game or something comes out. (well, maybe I'll play that remaster Xenoblade as I didn't get it and I might get it used when Switch 2 comes out or something)

Lol, I had a similar issue of GAF freezing up on mobile for like a week as well a while ago. Funnily, using the generic Samsung brower instead of Google Chrome worked fine for the most part.

Thanks for reminding me Bravely Default was cool, everybody. It DID feel like the original FFs, from what I recall from the DS days. I might snag that with CBP2077.

I don't get your reaction, I just prefer to play on actual hardware to avoid any issues and hassle setting emulators, does it offend you somehow? Lol

I love Nintendo as much as the next guy but for the love of god do we need to have 1000 Nintendo threads every time?!

I really start thinking that someone is being paid to promote switch 2
Its always the same shit over the years on forums when it comes to Nintendo

They're so loud and fucking annoying

read your posting again...
The made up nonsense part is the reason I spoke up, not that you like what you like.

😂 Switch 2 will outsell PS5 Pro in its first 3 hours on sale...what are you smoking and can I have some?

Edit: Also Switch 2 will enhance Switch 1 games as well.
