Switch 2 is the easiest day 1 purchase in gaming history ever

Discounting ports and more of the same playbook Nintedno has played, you are certainly drinking the cool aid.

Then again, leave it to the Disney like fans to use this goal post while criticising the competition. Enjoy it but come back to earth a little.

Be a man.

Huh I'm the complete opposite lol. I've already played most of those games. Most on a powerful pc generations beyond switch 2 hardware lol. Oh on a 65 inch qd OLED with full atmos setup with height speakers. And I can carry on playing those games on the go with my rog ally with cross save.

I ain't paying 500 to play Mario fucking kart and old ass games on dog shit settings lol

I'm surprised OP doesn't have a tag that says, "Joyfully gets clapped by Bowser."
Like you wouldn't.

Not for me, I'm not graphic whore enough that I'm willing pay $950 +100 for disc drive just for graphical update and I wont be missing out any game since it will never gets in own exclusives.

Switch 2 other hand will have its own exclusive that wont be released on original Switch and more than happy to buy day one for Mario Kart since I spend close to 700 hours on MK8D.
There's already talks of Mario Kart World being MUCH bigger than what they've shown so far (i.e. they didn't craft that huge ass open world for nothing...)

Also they've yet to show battle mode or other online features. It's going to be a MASSIVE game.

Rarely there is a system that is worth purchasing on day one outside of the hype and FOMO.

I bought my 5090 for both reasons above. That said, I like to have a high-end GPU anyway.

as far as consoles go. I bought both PS5, PS5 pro ( not day one for that ) and Xbox Series X. All sold outside the PS5 i gave to my son. I regret buying all these consoles and am glad I could sell them without loss ( there were shortages back then ).

Only the Switch I didn't regret buying because of Mario Kart 8 and then other flow of games ( no I don't like the new style of Zelda building shit, I am an old-timer OoT fan ).

Switch 2 is the same for me. Mario Kart is a system seller to me. I'll try to buy it day one too. but I am not in a rush. I can wait if I don't get it on day one. have enough games on PC to play to even worry about it.

My digital purchases being back compatible and even running better make it an easy purchase. I'm not day 1 with anything these days haha. Ill probably save it till Christmas for the kids.

Already hace one bundle via Spain and System only via Italia.

Not gonna say anything until i have at least one in My hands.

Now, i agree with OP. Already as a 3rd world country, we have it more expensive, like 30 Euros.

The game line up is weak, i only care for Pokémon. In December.

Does it ever dawn on you that you're supporting poor business practices and setting the stage for even worse? You really want to pay for $80+ games?

The Steam Deck is a much better value. It just can't play Switch 2 games which there are like 2 that look worth playing. I think if enough people hold off, Nintendo will be forced to lay off their anti consumer practices that hurt the whole industry. They're a company that truly deserves a boycott right now.

I'm really excited. More than I was for Switch 1 for some reason. But it's no SNES or N64. They were both 'I FUCKING NEED IT' consoles.
This might be a SNES moment for me. Nintendo is giving more of their original design, and they didn't do the usual Nintendo thing of throwing in a plumbus.

Bigger open worlds are rarely better than carefully crafted large open areas. Forza Horizon 4 was a great example of this. I got so bored of having to drive great distances just to get to the next ho hum mission.

Happy that my Nintend-bros are having their day in the spotlight with hardware that can actually run current gen 3rd party games. You've been waiting long enough. Enjoy the hype! 😁

Yeah I'm excited too, but Metroid Prime 4 doesn't even have a release date yet, has it? Surely it's not a part of the release line-up or what am I missing?

current gen only

star wars outlaw
wild hearts
annnd spit fiction

so thirs means third parties support till ps6 cross gen over thank you nintendos to fat need a portable

I'll be there day one, but I definitely don't think it's the easiest day 1 ever. Prices are relatively high for a Nintendo product, and (some) game prices are higher than the entire rest of the market.

Switch(1) is also still being supported all the way into 2026, with a humongous library of already released, high quality first party software, so it's very easy to skip Switch 2 for now and just keep playing what you've got.

Not the greatest lunch lineup or I would be there day1. But agree that first year lineup looks great.
I'll pick this up when Layton gets out
Speaking of which, Level 5 should start remastering this series. No one asked for the Inazuma remake and I even own 2-3 Inazuma games.

Compared to the PS5 launch where it was really hard to get a new console the Switch 2 one is very calm. Is it even sold out yet anywhere? I can still purchase a save day 1 console here in Germany.
Preordered one, so for me it's an easy day 1 purchase. To be fair, mostly to play enhanced older games on it.

ahaha wayyyyy more stocks thens ps5 already best selling amazon console of the year in uk annnnnd germeny

I feel DK Bananza should have looked better. That would have made their case stronger.

Nintendo is getting into PS4 era of graphics and they will feel the heat, any imperfections are immediately noticeable.

MK World looks good.

The console will be very easy to get just like the PS5 pro because of the higher price and games.

Mario kart at $80 or $500 with a bundle isn't going to move this console like the first one.
If you have a Switch 1, have played at least 50 or so hours with it, and have a current Nintendo Online subscription it is pretty easy to get one… 😚… well to pre-order it at least.

GameChat will not be free for late adopters
-Will be free to everyone until the end of March 2026, meaning early adopters get a year-long trial to see if the service is for them
This is a bit BS, they are late to the party by like a decade…
Gameshare is the most pro-consumer friendly feature from any gaming dev
-Just own one game and you can play multiplayer with others using Switch 1 or Switch 2, locally or online. No need to own extra copies. Support this feature X100000% now everyone!
Not as pro-consumer as on DS / 3DS, you are not sharing the game, you are streaming the game to them from your machine and processing the input locally. You are the server.

It is also not for all games, some games support it and a lot might not.

I'll happily wait for the OLED edition, even though the difference between the OG Switch 1 and OLED screens was not that big. NS1 was a revolutionary, fresh concept, and NS2 is just a safe evolution

500$+ for a switch 2 that doesn't play my entire switch 1 library, I have to pay extra to play enhanced versions of the games it does play, and a Mario Kart game that I won't be playing online since I refuse to pay for their shitty online service.

I dont know seems like an easy pass to me especially since I don't have space for it anyway since I still need to keep the switch 1 plugged in.

The moment I saw a new Hyrule Warriors my money had already left my bank account.

Portable Musou is hard drugs.

I still think the Switch has a better year 1 lineup based on what we know at the moment.
