All right, so I submit to the consensus regarding mod-killing and replacements. Sounds good to me.

I think that was the major sticking point and I'll gladly make my game the guinea pig for that effort.

Dead thread: I say give each player the option of joining the dead thread or being an alternate for the other game(s) if necessary.

Shall we proceed to recruitment?

Also, I would appreciate it if Kark and/or MattyG would publicly give me a thumbs up or a middle finger regarding my setup. Either way is fine, I'd just appreciate it :p

Just to clarify, I actually played forum Mafia on Smogon a looooooong time ago. Like 9 years ago. I'm new to GAF mafia though, but I imagine it functions more or less the same.

I actually haven't played THAT much forum mafia, <10 games, but I've played a ton of mafia over video, live mafia,
and uncountable games of town of salem which is stupid easy because everyone's retarded, there's no discussion, and town is flooded with information. I managed to farm up enough coin to buy most of the stuff at one point

I am suspicious of squidj based on this post alone. He claims to have played less than 10 mafia games but has played a ton of presumably live mafia games (?).

Oh, don't you worry, Blarg, I've been thinking a lot about you while I've been setting up my game. How good ARE you at lines and boxes? It might be important.

Also: Aoshima? The thing Mabel rides while she's high on Smile Dip?

Now I'm REALLY looking forward to a HP themed game! I'd make such a good Death Eater, Im an expert in performing Unforgivable Curses.

I have some comments to make about running the Mafia games too! Gonna wait until i get to a computer though.

If I say town is in LyLo, what does that mean? If I say town is in MyLo what does that mean?

This too. Mylo/Lylo have came up before, but without knowing exact Mafia numbers it's all been estimates. "If there are 6 Mafia a mislynch will end the game."

Soft claiming is interesting though. What would be an example of that? Roleclaiming alignment without specific role details?

Honestly, this will always be a grey area. The main point of this rule is to prevent boring "MattyG types slightly differently to that, so you're lying!" technicalities that just aren't fun. I don't really think there's any way to enforce this strictly, it's really just a matter of sportsmanship. If you straight CP'd the whole role PM, I'd modkill you in my games to make a point. If you CP'd the win condition, I'd frown at you but probably leave it. Players and moderators will just have to use their judgement.
