"Gather your team. It's time to take down the Cabal."

YEAAAH

Good episode. Very tense. Aram is the white knight Liz needed. I wonder how Red will have to pay back Aram later on.

Last night's return was fantastic, this show is really picking up steam this season.

That entire end section was very tense and I didn't know where Red was going to go with it and the direction he took was awesome. Really showed more about his character.

Lashley

Why does he wear the mask!?
Genuinely thought he was going to kill Aram there, I was like why!?

Such a good episode

Yeah, it was another good episode. Looks like they've reset things somewhat without totally handwaving away everything that's happened over the last dozen episodes or so in the show. Honestly, it'll be nice to get back to catching a few blacklisters of the week. I wonder how Red getting a seat at the Cabal will pay off ... I mean he's basically outed and discredited them now, so what would joining them do for him?

That was brilliant.

Brutal ending for the director.

Why is this thread so empty? Great show

I like how they dropped him off in the Netherlands, where Dutch people lived in 16th century clothes in some kind of small dark museum house with a large christian cross on the wall and they all spoke like they were Americans getting some written Dutch lines for the first time without any pronunciation assistance.

Yeah except for in Cover Affairs where they did a few eps in Amsterdam.
Most US shows that do anything with Netherlands / Dutch is pretty terrible.
But at lest last ep was AWESOME ! and this season so far is amazing :D
My wife keeps saying this trying to draw me back in and I just ask "So what's going on with the fulcrum?"
Fulcrum was just evidence for the existance of the Cobal and all the things that they did.
That was all.

Wow a heist.
After Heroes this will be the only show I'll be watching on NBC

OMG that was brutal on how the Director ended

Lizzy kinda Rough-ish, but I hope she remains blonde.

I'm happy if that was the series finale

At this point whatever they come up with as the connection between Red and Liz, it should have happened last season. overall great episode though. This season really has been great.

Red is getting SUCH a kick out of making these poor people sing, LoL

And I'm getting a kick out of him getting a kick out of it

Dang, my reply from October is on this page! This show deserves more love.
I think everything up to and including the director episodes was great this year, but it has really fallen off a cliff since. Liz's constant "I need you" and then "Stay away from me" with Red is tiresome and the Liz/Tom stuff is just the worst. Hopefully it picks up soon.

This show continues to be awesome. I think the pregnancy has actually been incorporated well and we're making headway on Katarina. And last episode with the painting was absolutely beautiful. I really can't wait to see a confrontation between Katarina and Red. Also I am of the opinion that Tom has become one of the best characters on the show. I just love that the cast is filled with such morally dubious characters.

I actually didn't realize that there was an OT for this show. I'll try to post here more and give the show the love it deserves. :p

I like that Red's always has a personal reason for siccing the FBI on each Blacklister. They haven't devolved into "well, here's a bad guy who's come to our attention, let's go get 'im." And he rarely actually lets the FBI just get the Blacklister, he mostly uses it to draw the person out so he can get him, which is of course what we as the audience want to see: Red casually pointing a gun at someone while delivering a comeuppance with some pithy soliloquy before pulling the trigger.

Those Pomeranians were adorable though and when they were brought back it was such a hilarious delight

Yeah, I guess Red is a dog person. He could have just offed them!

I enjoyed tonight's episode. Aram was freaking badass making Ressler apologize to Samar before disarming the bomb. Though it does make me worried his mental health isn't doing so great. :p Red needs to listen to Dembe and tell Liz (and us) the whole story. And ugh why do so many shows have to break for early spring? April 7th is so far away.

- TVLine: The Blacklist Spinoff Eyed at NBC, Famke Janssen Set as Female Lead.
Spinoff-happy NBC is looking to turn another one of its hits into a bonafide franchise.

The Peacock network is developing a spinoff of The Blacklist, with How to Get Away With Murder‘s Famke Janssen set as the female lead.

The May 12 episode of The Blacklist — directed by Justified vet Michael Dinner — will serve as a backdoor pilot for the potential series. Janssen’s character, Susan “Scottie” Halsted, will be introduced in the May 5 episode.

A source stresses that there is currently no series commitment for the offshoot. A decision will likely be made in May.

The spin-off idea of the cleaner lady would be amazing. Great idea xxracerxx. I'd tune in every week. She's a great character.

Ryan Eggold and Edi Gathegi are headed for the spin-off. Blegh. That might ruin Blacklist. Tom's often my favorite part. :/ And it also seems to indicate a less happy ending for Tom and Liz.

The original article for the spin-off said:

Insiders tell Variety that Janssen’s character was conceived as Ryan Eggold’s on-screen mother.

Hmm. So it does make sense for him to go to the other show. I just don't know if I care about the show enough to watch a spin-off. Unless it's awesome of course. I just...I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like Tom has been an integral part of the Blacklist's higher quality episodes and arcs.

This makes me hope even more that NBC ends Blacklist after four seasons. Not sure it's a good thing to lose Tom on the show.

Good action at the end of this episode. Liz nervously walking out to grab the bag (of ammo, I think?) with lasers trained on her was cool. Aram constantly obsessing over the reception tracklist and essentially being relegated to comedic relief in this episode was annoying, though.

I have a feeling the spinoff will launch like this: Tom vows to chase down Mr. Solomon to the ends of the earth for revenge and to make sure he never hurts Liz. Liz and Tom don't actually get married before he runs off to his own show.

I can't believe they
killed off Liz
! I mean WTF? I didn't see that coming — until about halfway through the episode, anyway. I mean I didn't see that coming this season.

Where will the show go from here?

A small part of me wonders if
they gave Liz something to make her fake die, like you give to spies to slow their heartrate, and Mr. Kaplan is handling getting her somewhere safe where she'll wake up OK. Then again, Spader sold the hell out of it ... I dunno.

Such a damn good episode. I can't believe that twist either! Spader gonna go HAM next week. Too bad I'm gonna be in Boston next Thursday so I'm gonna miss it. :(

That's not suppose to happen...fucking hell, fucking wow. And right before that scene I was thinking to myself that resuscitate scenes like that no longer work as they add little to no tension and they never impact the show in any meaningful way. That said, I still wont believe they killed off one half of this show and I'm fully expecting the next episode to reveal that. This show lies a lot.

What're the odds it's a fakeout? Having watched Marvel and Game of Thrones on TV, I'm infinitely more skeptical of the "death" of a character.

There's no way that they actually
killed Liz off.
This is
clearly a way to give Megan Boone some time off of for her own baby.

RE: The legitimacy of tonights twist:

You can always tell when a show is faking you out by the immediate press. If they've actually killed a main character, there are articles and interviews and comments from showrunners and probably the actor themselves.

When it's not legit, there's silence. Only speculation. Showrunners might field the question and answer it vaguely or with a "we'll see" type answer. If they're gone, there's no subjectivity. They tell you immediately.

You can see this in-action with last weeks Sleepy Hollow.

Fantastic episode it was such an emotional roller coaster. I'm liking the theory floating around that
Mr. Kaplan faked Liz's death without Red knowing.
