Can you skip cutscenes?
slayn said:on ps3 if you hold down R2 it goes into super fast forward. Pressing R1 brings up a prompt asking if you want to skip the current scene, but it doesn't seem to work very well. Like sometimes hitting ok seems to not do anything.
I just hold down R2 and it will skip through most anything in a couple seconds.

She says it when fighting against Litchi "Boobie Lady" because of the panda clip in her hair.Volcynika said:So does Noel only say "HANDS OFF THE PANDA" while fighting a certain character? I think it was while using her optical gun, but I forget who I was fighting...
I can't wait to get home and play some more, just a couple things to do and then it's a BlazBlue night.
_dementia said:What's the deal about no install? Are the load times long?
GrayFoxPL said:I'd buy it, but the last time I imported a ps3 game to Poland it took a month to deliver and I'm pretty sure by the time the gaf hype train will leave and people will be asking "Blazwhat?". :lol
FindMyFarms said:- SF4 easy mode inputs+ This game has even easier inputs than sf4, plus if you have a single button chain like A,A,A, all you have to do is hold down A instead of pressing it 3 times.
Load times are a huge deal in fighting games.CcrooK said:Load times aren't that big of a deal really. I mean c'mon. It's a fighting game. :lol
Indeed. At least an option to partially install the game would've been nice. Are you getting the ps3 version?_dementia said:Load times are a huge deal in fighting games.
As long as they're acceptable I'm cool.
Flek said:Some questions (even though they might have been asked before -_-)
1 - is somebody playing this with the SF4 FightingPads? If so - does it work out good?
2 - does the us version of the game have the japanese music too?
cheers

As far as inputs go: I'm having a "fuck all" time trying to nail the "Dragon Punch" (DP) motion. And it's driving me insane!! I'd love to main or backup with Tager... but so many of his combos are linked to his DP+C special...... UGH!!
Other than that... I love the "ease" of the combo system. It's not about the skill of when you press the buttons (although that's there) it's more or less knowing your character's moves and what it does to your opponent... and then knowing what move will hit after. That's a hard way to explain it... the best examples I can think of are just if you watch how juggling is so important in the game... you need to know where your opponent will go airborne, bounce, etc. and then the range and properties of the next move (coupled with timing so that it combos). It really feels like aside from each character's BnBs... you can be creative and find your own combos if you understood your character long enough.
I could be WAY off... but I think the game allows for a lot of creativity.

Oh snap!CcrooK said:Pretty much.

Sucks because everyone is so happy with this game.
I need my 2D Fighting game fix now
hobart said:Input mode in SF4 Training mode was a godsend for me... it allowed me to see exactly what I was inputting (and, being a noob to both fighters and arcade sticks... I really needed this)
I haven't played it yet, but considering how similar it is to Guilty Gear I'd probably say it isn't. Or at the very least be wary of the similarities (i.e. try before you buy).Fersis said:So... if i dont like Guilty Gear... BlazBlue is not for me ?

GriffD17 said:You have the option to see what you're inputting in training mode in this too. Somewhere in the options. I was doing it last night.
Zabka said:SFIV was extremely forgiving with inputs, especially dragon punches.

Perdew said:The SFIV pads work pretty well, but I'm sticking to my TE stick over it. When I have non-fighting game people (is there a better term?) over, I hook up 2 of those and it's alright. You definitely want to check your button mapping, though.
And _dementia... I can check that for you later tonight. I have my 360 hooked up to a 24" 1900x1200 display right now, and it slices off the right part of the screen, about at the 'E' in Noel on the P2 side. Not sure if that info is helpful at all!
Same here, I assume Amazon will get it in stock today because my estimated delivery date is July 2nd. Next time I'm ordering from Gametstop.SoulFist said:Has anybody that ordered from Amazon received their copy yet? My order status says it hasn't even shipped yet.
hobart said:You can adjust the ratio in the Options menu. Default was too big for my screen as well. I think I put it on the 2nd setting... and everything fit perfectly after that.
