The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited - |OT| - Console edition

and also about rivenspire, I learned its the best place to craft because of the close location all the crafting stuff is, everything is really close, and that town is ALWAYS packed, I see more vets there than I see other levels sometimes. I personally go there when I want to craft. You got a cooking station directly behind the banker, and you got blacksmith, clothier, and woodworking directly across from the banker building. So crafters tend to go to those guild traders for crafting stuff to buy.

Sounds good then.

Lets pay attention to how much coin the bank earns during the week if we win the bid.

But I think everyone needs to start donating more than 100 a week. Because we've only got 150 or so members. Most of which are hardly on. I say we should all be donating 1000 a week, this way we will always have proper funds to bid with. 1000 is nothing really, unless you are a new player then that shouldn't be asked of you. Everyone else could pay that off with a single sale or two.

so anyone that went with alchemy or enchanting can tell me if they are worth it? went with provisioning myself, the food bonuses are crazy good so far but I don't know what I'm missing with alchemy or enchanting.

You guys worrying about having to go back to such and such town to use the guild store do know you can access the guild store from most banks, right?

It's just non guildies that have to go to where your bought guild trader is.

I am in a massive trade guild, i have no clue where our guild store is, I just check it from the bank everytime I come back to town.

I never understand what people mean when they ask, is something worth it.........worth what??? what is "IT"???

Haha! Nice.

I'm leveling enchanting and alchemy - both are very beneficial, though enchanting has a long grind. In terms of "payoff", having my own supply of potions and constant enchants has made leveling so far very easy.

Enchanting I'm still on the fence about. It's time-consuming to level, and I really haven't gotten any benefits from it.

Alchemy is definitely worthwhile. I wouldn't take it over provisioning, but the double potions (like health and stamina) are so damn useful on the console because of how clunky potion switching is mid-fight.

Not while there's still GAFfers to invite (I really don't care).

Speaking of, may I join? ;) PSN: MistaBowaa, NA Server. Not sure if I need to be online or not.
I'm at work, but bout to put in my 4 weeks to go to a new job, if they immediately let me go here, I'll add you when I get home

If you're not on line you can find the Invite in your 'in game' notification in the menu

I just figured, more people in guild, more donation to bank

Can anyone give me any crafting advice, i've got Blacksmithing/Clothing and Woodworking up to 10, am I better off researching as much as I can rather than Deconstructing things and i've put a couple of skill points into those crafts should i carry on doing that, I can make basic stuff but nothing of any use, i'm level 30 btw.

It's better if you research traits. There are some special equipment sets you can make at different locations depending on how many traits you know for each piece of armor or weapon.

Welp, I bet 40k in Rivenspire, and that didn't win us the bid. I sent out a notice asking everyone to donate atleast 100 gold a day instead of a week if they can. It seems we need to start bidding all the gold we have from this point forward to actually start winning these bids.

Share you guys thoughts about the guild trader and how we should approach this.

I'm open ears.

Thanks for that, I have it so I can research 2 traits at a time at the moment, I just need to be patient I guess.

Don't feel bad, I'm in a mega trading guild and we lost our bid as well.

Did you lose that 40k or did you get it back minus minus a fee or something?

A lot of these trading guilds have maxed out members (500 I think) who deposit thousands in gold a week. If we want to be competitive economically we need to expand beyond GAF.

Won't join the guild, I detest them but I'll help gaf with some cash to get a trader. Just tell me who to send cash to.Tbh honest the game needs an auction house imo. Having to sell shit 1960-70s out of your trunk style is not cool.

Yea your right about having to expand.

But about the bid, nah man, of course we dont lose money when making a bid. It works exactly the same way as a ebay auction or any auction. Only the highest bidder pays anything. Not sure what made you think we lose money on bids.

I thought that there might be a percentage fee for biding win or loss. They fucking tax mail sent between players, I expected there to be a big fee for biding.

How much money do we make off guild trader? Is it worth it at this point to invest in one? I'm in like this 1000 person guild that focuses primarily on trading, that's how I sell my stuff when we don't have guild trader.

If we bet 50k on a guild trader, will we make that money back in 7 days? Or will we be taking an hit, the active players in this OT does not equate to the number of people in the guild

How do I get in on these massive trade guilds? I don't really go many places on the internetz other than GAF and occasionally CAG.

I just hit level 10 and have a few questions about campaigns.

Is it all pvp or is there any PVE/story stuff as well? Is there any suggestion on first one to join? Does pvp also make progress towards leveling up?

Is the EU PS4 guild still alive?

Alive in what way? We just got a Tabard, and the store is open for all Neogaf members but we don't have a trader. We would have had one in Cyrodill but we lost the keep and then got it back and some other guild jumped in. We also don't have as many active players as the US Guild though, were on like 53 members with what seems like half that are regularly on during the week randomly. You can check the Guild MOTD for the latest updates, I make sure to post the date.

As for the future of the Guild who knows, raising money isn't going anywhere at the moment, I tried at first to introduce having a small fee to use the store upgrade as a way to raise some funds for a first trader, but only one member did it. So I just opened it to all Neogaf members in the hopes players will want to put money in voluntarily. It can be hard though, there's a lot of massive guilds around at the moment with a hell of a lot more funds than we have to do stuff with.

It's really a kinda sucky system at the moment to be honest for smaller guilds, the big 500 people guilds are getting all the traders, and none of the smaller guilds can compete. Compared to other MMOs which just have a global auction house it kinda sucks hard in ESO, the guild system in general doesn't really lead anywhere either compared to other games, there's nothing long term to save up for.

So if you really want to get trading to make some money I would advise joining one of the bigger guilds at the same time, you can be in 5, so join a bunch.

I hope it isn't taking forever like it was at launch and a couple weeks ago, some players got the game and couldn't play for like 2 days.

Just give us a shout when you make a character and I'll send an invite your way, we might not have a trader but we have a guild bank that people are using to put bits and bobs in that anyone else can take and use.

Increase the donation to 2k for people that are least level 25, shouldn't be hard to get 2k at the level quickly. I know I donate like 3k weekly to the Guild and still have plenty of money.

My other guild bid 130k in wayrest and lost. 500 people in the guild and it's pretty much just a trading guild.

We're really going to have to step our game up if we want any chance of getting a trader, donate at least 1500 a week. It's nothing compared to what you'll earn if we get a trader.

There is a decent amount of story stuff there as well and you can do it solo or with friends, but you can at any time, anywhere get attacked by other factions. Yeah, PVP also gives you xp just like everything else.

I like the game a lot, but I agree. Features like text chat and auction houses are in every MMO for a reason: they work. It's like ZOS wanted to differentiate themselves from the rest so much that they end up making some boneheaded decisions. Also for MMOs you need to listen your fanbase at least when it comes to features like those, and give them what they want, it seems to me like they don't really give a fuck about it though.

Today was a good day.

Brought 4 Dwarven Oils for 100 gold.

Later, I stumbled upon a Werewolf grouping at a shrine and got bit for nothing, but sent the dude 7000 for being a bro. He tried selling the bite for 5k, but after a few messages could see how paranoid I was about getting scammed and basically told me to shut the fuck up and went to work.

And lastly, I grabbed my self a nice Dwemer motif from a random guild trader for 1000.

Anyone else have anxiety over forgetting to head back to the stables to train the horse everyday? I find myself really wanting to maximize that training but each day get an hour or so into playing before I remember to get at it!

It's still plays like a typical Elder Scrolls game, you can ignore many aspects of it being an MMO, what you can't ignore is that unless a quest says "solo" other people will be doing it too, while annoying on some missions it can be a real big help on others when there's some big enemy that is quite tough. But you will see lots of people around doing things at the same time, the only place the game really requires you to group up is for the dungeons, but you can ignore them if you want.

I would do a little googling on the races and classes, each race does have their advantages and disadvantages for each class, some are better than others, but that will really only make the most difference near the end game. Unless you got the game with the explorers pack, or buy it in-game with real money, the races are bound to one of three different sides as well.

Haha, damn.

Yeah, don't listen to me, that massive 1000 member trading guild I was speaking of is only like 220 members.

It was a messed up morning, my calculations were off.

Should we put a restriction on starting areas if people want to join?

Obviously we would prefer Daggerfall, I don't know if we want to change the rules somewhat in order to bolster our numbers... Then again, people outside of Daggerfall would not be able to access our guild vendors

So I finally settled with a character plus faction on XB1. I tried Daggerfall but felt the starting area wasn't good enough, so I can't be on the NeoGAF guild.

Also, is there anyway to turn on subtitles or captions? I looked in the options screen and it wasn't there.
