The Football Season 24/25: 115 Reasons For Man City Not To Win Anything

The January window could be interesting... especially now we dont have Dan Ashworth so it'll be on Jason Wilcox & the scout network.
Maybe, but it seems like the finances are pretty tight. There's part of me that hopes they can get Napoli to recall Osimhen from Galatasaray and loan him to them instead. But that's maybe a long shot. Generally I think it's going to depend on outgoings though. They signed that Paraguayan for next season but I really hope they somehow manage to get another left-back as soon as possible.

Osimhen demands a massive salary. Ineos already stated those days are over and they want to find the next Osimhen (or whoever) on lower wages.

True, it does feel like he would be better suited to a team that just needs that one final piece and can afford to spend a good chunk of their budget for that window on him. Whereas United need a bunch of positions sorted. So United are going to have to be smarter about how they spend their budget, which hasn't exactly been a strength of theirs recently.

Still seems weird to see Man Utd this pants. No chance of them going down because other teams are even worse but they aren't very good.

Poor Wayne has lost his job almost a calendar year since he got the sack at Birmingham he has left Plymouth.

I don't understand the merry-go-round of managers. Like when there was big Sam, Pardew, Redknapp etc all failing at one relegation fodder prem club and within a few months moving to another relegation fodder prem club... Rinse and repeat. Same happening with Rooney, he's failed at clubs multiple times, why hire him? Why not find someone in a foreign club, who's been successful, hire them, even it's it's a lower league club in France, Holland or Spain. Find someone successful. They might be the next SAF/Pep/Klopp/Wenger.

Ah man... all them legends you mentioned above, now they just go for some foreign bloke and hope for the same.

I miss the days a big Sam being parachuted in round about now. Now its some bloke called Slavan Digivc till the end of the season.

I don't think Man Utd will be relegated, but they're going to finish in the bottom 10.

The defence is diabolical. My son's Sunday league team can defend better than this Utd team. Onana is a poor Goalkeeper, but even worse with that shite defence in front of him.

The rest of the players don't look like they want to be there. There's no urgency in their play at all.

Amorim has walked into an impossible job.
At this rate he'll be manager in the Championship[p with them.

Not anymore since Rooney unsurprisingly got sacked. Great player, but a fucking awful manager. I don't think he'll be managing any club again.

Liverpool vs Man Utd on Sunday.

Rashford is set to miss the game with illness (Would he even be in the squad?)

It could be a massacre.

Edit: Nevermind. Normal service resumes. Of course VAR wasn't going to overturn it at Anfield.

Edit 2: VAR giving them games as usual.

First goal was on and that was a blatant handball. You whine and complain more than anyone I've ever seen in a message board. Get a grip.

Nah, it was a handball.

Obviously a win would have been great but United showed they can compete against the best teams.

Seen them not given for being in such close proximity. Especially if it was the refs decision that needed to be overturned.

Fair result in the end. Entertaining game.

I can understand his hand being up there, it was unlucky that the ball hit it but it's not a "natural position" for it to be in and that's what's going to count.

But yeh, a draw is probably a fair result. Good to see United at least walk away with a point when everyone seemed to be counting them out. Something to build on.

Something to build on.

Like Keane just said, you cant just pick & choose when to turn up, it needs to be this level every single game for Man Utd. We'll see what happens now that Christmas is over and Amorim can get more training sessions in.

For sure, like Bruno said post-match if they can play like this then why can't they do it for every match. Hopefully it gives the players the confidence that they can. But also the more time they spend on the training ground the more things should start to click. Amorim recently mentioned about how few training sessions they've had, so hopefully they can build more of an understanding of their tactical expectations.

Remember the same was said after we beat City too. So it's best to wait and see what happens. Actions speak louder than words and we never seem to turn up against "lesser" teams. Hopefully the more training will actually pay off. (I say hopefully, because it never under ETH).

A jobs a job but I wouldn't go back if I was him.

Everton have been wank for years, fortunately for them every season there are even worse teams.

Oh dear Tottenham, this is embarrassing. Tamworth deserve to win.

Edit: You're welcome Spurs fans, I must've jinxed that.
