The Nintendo Switch 2 reveal reminded me how much I take my Xbox for granted

But here's what I don't understand - why are they having these strange meltdowns over other companies that are not their preferred platform announcing/releasing new hardware?
Every hyped-up launch that isn't Xbox is a reminder to the shills that they went all-in on the wrong play.

Don't follow news much?

Humour me, which hardware do you think will be exempt from tarrifs?
Sony are stockpiling consoles for a reason.

Dude thinks Xbox is made in the US.
Where did I indicate that? It's just funny that all the breathless predictions of how many consoles certain people expect Sony to sell this year take no account of the tariffs.

The fuck does it have to do with the topic?

Jizz is English not from the US.
Xbox Series and Switch 2 aren't made in the US so will also have increased tariffs.

Nintendo churn out endless GOTY contenders.

Xbox churns out…

I understand your squeaky outrage, because clearly on NeoGaf, every single thing mentioned in every discussion on the forum always relates 100% to the thread title. 🤷‍♂️
Anyway, it relates to the topic because the "xbox has no games" meme is a very tired Sony fan talking point and was mentioned more than once in this thread. Sony fanboys chose to insert themselves into this topic. Clearly mentioning the tariffs hit a sore spot for you. :messenger_grimmacing_

Xbox Series is not made in the US but as an American company they may be given more leeway than the Japanese companies.

Doesn't answer the question.
I was talking specifically about the PS5 but you wanted to fudge the topic because you know the tariffs are terrible for Sony. As I said, they are spooked enough to be stockpiling consoles.
It's amusing that none of the breathless predictions on here of PS5 sales in the US this year took the tariffs into account.

Ok, allow me to rephrase then. If the tarrifs are bad for the PS5 then what do they also mean for the alternatives?

You might want to do some research on what these tarrifs entail and what their purpose is.

Like Jizz, I am also English. The tariffs don't mean shit to me.

I mean he's right. Xbox play anywhere is awesome, game pass is way better than switch sub expansion pass. The series S is cheaper and more powerful than the Switch 2. People have this caveman mentality of looking at things in 2 dimensions either "thing good" or "thing bad" there can't be any nuance or complexity. Xbox does do something's better than Nintendo, they certainly aren't charging $80 for Xbox One style games. The Wii u raised prices to $60 because it brought Xbox 360 era gaming capabilities. The Switch 2 is bringing PS4 era capabilities but it's raising prices higher than PS5 era games. And people wanna say that's better than what Xbox or even Sony is doing? Ridiculous.

The Xbox Series X|S and features like Xbox Play Anywhere, Xbox Game Pass, cloud gaming, and beyond, make me glad I'm not into Nintendo nostalgia.

Dude is advertising, as usual. Maybe this will be his big chance to bring some disgruntled Nintendo fans into the Xbox fold - wouldn't surprise me at all if he's thinking along those lines. :messenger_expressionless:

The Switch 2 reveal showed me 5 Exclusive Games I want to play this year (so far). That's 5 more than what's been announced for Xbox thus far.

So with Nintendo's abusive prices, Good Guy MS is back ?
Trying to vilify competitors and push their own products as the "consumer friendly" alternative is MS's and its shills modus operandi. They did the same with Google and Sony trying to paint them as evil and themselves the "good guy". Strangly nobody batted an eye anymore once they started charging high prices with the introduction of Redfall though.

Clearly it will effect all the companies to some extent, but it's bad news for Sony for this year in particular with GTA 6 on the horizon.

You might want to do some research on what these tarrifs entail and what their purpose is.
I'm aware of this. However, it's not unreasonable to think Microsoft will be in line for tariff waivers or exemptions on specific products. Sony and Nintendo will certainly not be.

Apple got such exemptions during the first Trump administration. We'll see how this plays out.

They do to Sony.
