They also are used to unlock most of your attachments for pilot weapons. For the most part you get 1 attachment for killing a certain number of pilots, another for a bunch of spectre robots and another for a ton of grunts

It doesnt run as smooth on 360 from my understanding. Framerate is a big deal.
Graphics matter but i think gameplay matters more than graphics. To say something isnt next grn just because you dont think the graphics are up to snuff, id argue the graphics are good enough for a game with solid "next gen "gameplay.

So next gen gameplay to you is just an evolution of COD gameplay? Along with that, its hard to categorize "next gen" gameplay or even what it means.

If there's any next gen gameplay out there, it's ones that will take advantage of the Oculus Rift.

As for your opinion on Second Son, that's your own opinion but many here in GAF and who have seen the game will beg to differ.

If gameplay matters to you more than graphics, I suggest you get the PC version then considering the drops to single digits that Jeff mentioned on the XB1 version of this game. Truly laughable if so on the hardware.

You say the above but then make sure to get a graphics slam against Second Son in?
 
It reviewed well and I'm not surprised since reviewers were the driving force behind the hype. This reminds me of gta 4's release. I think the game deserves a 7-8 score. Dock 2 points off for a lack of depth and a point off for framerate drops.

Well, i think i stated ive become a pc gamer and since i dont own a xb1 and since ive played the last 3 hours on pc, i probably already own the pc version. But thanks for the suggestion?

Im not slamming it, but looking at second son I dont think the same like i did when i saw something like the original watch dogs trailer.

I think it looks next gen. I just dont think it looks that much more amazing than titanfall.

With that said Ive never been a big fan of infamous.

Second Son will be the most visually impressive game on both consoles when it comes out for the sheer fact that it looks that good and it is open world. Yet you say it's not stunning at all.

On the other side, you have Titanfall with its amazing gameplay and yet you excuse it for its graphics? Never mind the 792p resolution, but poor textures along with frames that drop to single digits per Jeff's statement. You should not be excusing this game at all for its poor graphics.

What gives? Your values don't match on both games.

My values dont match probably because i havent played second son. Ive played titanfall. So i cant really comment on gameplay experience. Also, the resolution for my titanfall is fucking sweet, what are you talking about? The graphics for titanfall are butter smooth and the textures look great

Damn really? I played the beta on insane textures and they still looked poor as hell. I'm wondering where the heck those 50 gigs of space are going because they certainly aren't going to the texture resolution.

Please go get your eyes checked. Titanfall has worse graphics than Watch Dog and the game looks like a 360 game. Poor textures, geometry, AA, framerate and resolution are some of the issues that plague this game. We haven't even mentioned the screen tearing yet. On PC, titanfall looks good but it still looks last gen. Bf3 looks better and so do games like crysis 2 and metro last light.

Fuck me, I forgot about the tearing. Shit was annoying as heck.

I'm watching some XB1 streams and they're clear as day.
 
(Shrug) game looks great to me and the gameplay is awesome. Feels next gen to me. So thats just what I think.

Im not getting any tearing on pc.

I dont know why yall keep bringing up xb1 as i could give 2 shits about xb1. Only next gen console i own is a ps4

If the game looks great to you, I envy you in some ways because you sure have low standards when it comes to graphical fidelity. Your eyes will be knocked out of their sockets then when you see games like Witcher 3.

The game is ugly as sin when you compare it to recent shooters that have come out. I'm not expecting BF4 or Killzone levels of graphical fidelity from Respawn, but I'd at least expect something that looks better than COD Ghosts.

Ill take what we got if thats what we had to get to get that gameplay that came along with it over all 3 of those games
And ugly as sin compared to COD ghosts? Really?

Is it fun? Yes! You can take the most beautiful game out there and if it plays like crap or does not have the fun factor you will not stick with it for long. I guess I'm just old school and gameplay > graphics. If I get both then double bonus!

There is nothing wrong with appreciating TF graphics but I find it laughable that you do so and call CoD Ghosts ugly as sin at the same time.

Even if EA didn't botch it (it looks like the patch has fixed the issues with the servers for the PC version) they should still base their final score on the retail experience and not a crafted experience aimed at journalists.
 
What I really despise about how this game looks is just the art direction or lack thereof on focusing on it.

Great textures and normal mapping and such can mask low-poly models, but it doesn't even seem like Respawn tried in this department.

Add to that, the IQ is just horrid for this game. The resolution on the XB1 isn't helping, but I expected the IQ to be better. And don't blame the engine for it. If done right, you can have clean looking games like Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2 on the Source Engine.

How many maps have you played? I'm very much enjoying the direction of the visuals for the various levels I've played so far. Maxed on PC game looks great. Can't wait to continue playing tomorrow.

Funny. I said the exact same thing today to a friend.

I enjoy the gameplay even though it's incredibly easy to the point where I don't know how long it will last FOR ME, but I'm not so in love with this game to the point where I defend the graphics like I personally worked on it. If people think this looks good, then I'm pretty sure no other game should disappoint them in the future graphically. Of course, some of those people will probably be criticizing other game's graphics if they're not interested in its gameplay...lol

It's a fun MP game. Nothing revolutionary on any front and is just easy fun. A lot of gamers like easy shooters so I get its popularity, but I always wondered what's so game-changing in Titanfall to the point where this game was hyped to basically be the best shooter of all time. That was basically guaranteeing some backlash at launch since people had such high hopes.

The gameplay is fun, but the graphics are definitely disappointing to me considering what else is out there and hitting 60FPS now. I'm really curious how the game looks on 360 though since that two week delay reminds me of the old PC game delay move. I don't doubt it was delayed just to hopefully sell more X1's. I'm just happy it's out on PC.

8/10 seems about right to me on PC only taking gameplay into account.
