This game is like this generation's Sudeki
Sudeki! That's the name of the game I have been trying to remember lately...
For those who don't know, Sudeki was an exclusive for the original Xbox, back in 2004. It was a colorful and dumbed down JRPG. At the time, that was perfect for me, as I'd never played a JRPG before. I actually enjoyed it, lol.

Yes.
Never heard of it before, is it backwards compatible?

Should work on my 'gaming' laptop as well, will give it a look later.

Made it to the bear boss fight early on. I don’t think I like this game.
It’s really not a JRPG though. At all. For one it was made by Climax who was based in the UK. Also originally designed for the Dreamcast. It’s closer to something like Fable except you flip between different characters in the party at certain parts in the story or to reach items or areas you couldn’t reach before a la Metroid.
Dope game. Underrated. Where’s my Sorny remaster.
Well said! It's the more subtle things that bother me the most.
Things like adding all gender bathrooms to the Dead Space remake, or how they censored the dialogue in Paper Mario ttyd; It's all so insidious.
I actually prefer when it's over the top like with Veilguard.
At least then it's so blatant that even normies call it out.
That's depressing as hell to read. Jeez what has yet another once great developer devolved into? With wokeness we also always tend to get bad writing but also "accessibility" Which was the big buzzword of the last couple years. Things like pressing a button to pick a lock was probably thought to be a great "accessibility feature" by some hack devs at Obsidian.Oof.
But it happens a lot with games like Skyrim etc. After 300 hours you start to notice the errors etc.Eh, not really?
I played plenty of games to completion without ending up thinking they were complete pieces of shit.
Conversely all it took was few hours with The Outer World to realize that it wasn't anywhere near as charming, "witty" or even just mechanically enjoyable enough to stick with it.
Is that right? I wonder where I got the idea that it was a dumbed-down JRPG? I was new to games back then, so I probably just assumed the colorful environments and cutesy characters meant it was a JRPG, heh.
Well, I enjoyed it, whatever the hell it was, lol.
When the bottom of the YT barrel, despicable human being, racist, and cockroach king Asmon Papa exposes "games media/journalism"… you know just how nonexistent the integrity of these so-called professionals actually is.

ask gaming journalist and game developers.Shit, i didnt know this about asmon ...Is there evidence of this?
ask gaming journalist and game developers.
Anyone else encountering NPC's that sound like Stephen Hawking? Has to be a bug.

hmmTry swinging a sword in KCD 2.
You will be SHOCKED.
People fighting for their lives will not fight like this. Skyrim’s basic swordplay feels miles better.
The people he criticizes calls him names?

I've never heard anything racist from him and watch him pretty often now.
These days, calling someone a "racist" is like calling them a "sexist," or a homophobe, or a transphobe, or a Nazi. These words have been used as slurs so much over the past decade, they go in one ear and out the other. In my experience, it usually says more about the accuser than the accused.
I might be a noob at Skyrim, but not that big a noob. Conclusion, you don't play games like Skyrim, KCD2 and Avowed for the combat gameplay. People who love these games love them for other gameplay systems the games offer. Avowed, from videos I have seen, and from what I have read, is a more refined version of the two games mentioned, but perhaps simplistic. But I don't see what is so "complicated" about the combat videos I viewed.
Whats ironic is people like Asmongold point out things like the art director for Avowed being racist or the South of Midnight community manager being racist.
So the people that can't point out examples of others being racist are proving people are racists, but not the people with examples . . .
I might be a noob at Skyrim, but not that big a noob.
I absolutely play it for gameplay. Figured out a stealth archer + crafting build that was a lot of fun.
Some of these might help if you wanna try.
Avowed is very ripe for making builds. If anyone having issues with enjoying gameplay, getting a good build will help a lot.
Yeah sword gameplay in Skyrim kinda sucks. One has to go magic, stealth, archery etc to make it fun.Range/magic combat looks fun. I was speaking of sword/axe combat or even melee, which doesn't look fun at all, just simple/basic; even in these videos. I found videos where combat was improved via mods but it still looked kinda basic. Range or magic combat works and looks fun so not trying to take that away but I thought the conversation, was about sword gameplay.
EDIT
Nevermind, my bad. I guess I did not clarify or say in my post that I was talking about sword gameplay. The videos I shared focus on sword combat.
I'll agree it sucks, main reason I always played as an assassin, quick kills and looting jewels as an argonian most of the time. But to my eyes ( not tried it myself ) avowed doesn't look much better, not good enough to go through such a static world
