The suits look way cooler in illustrations.

Oh, can't wait for the full OP. Sounds great!

It does remind me a lot of Boukenger, and of course, Hurricanger (same singer).

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Surprise Future came out near the end of Drive right? No wonder it has that nice feeling of being familiar.

So many sexy suits, oh my god. That flying knee leading to a beat down resulting in damaged helmet too, that's my jam.

Not on Fourze movies' level, but even better than A to Z in my opinion. Not a fan of how Chase just disappeared in the end and how the Shift Cars got sidelined, but between Shin and Mr. Belt bonding and the action, those are small complaints. I specially like how this was action oriented compared to the detective story we got with Lupin.

And the final uppercut into Rider Kick, wowa, that was Super Robot Wars levels of awesome.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
The Shout Factory stream just confirmed Kakuranger!
Too good!

I might actually hold off on MFC's Ohranger is we're getting it next year.

Haha, worst kept secret revealed :) glad it's coming, will pick it up day one. It's the show that marks my transition from middle to high school.

A Pretty Panda

fuckin' called it, man
The in betweens with that guy were ok. Lots of trivia being dropped, but it felt like I was listening to a guy go deep into a wiki hole.

August Ragone.... ah how do I put this. He likes to hear himself talk. He knows his stuff, don't get me wrong but he has a prettty inflated ego if you try to talk to him on twitter or Facebook or anything like that. It's well known in tokusatsu fandom.

The robot transforming looks cool, but... the legs don't move? The transformer is kinda meh.

Oh, I'm on episode 10 of Timeranger. It's very good, up to now. The main characters in special are very well interesting, imo.

So the Deathgalian generals are playing some kind of "blood game" and all of the weekly monsters are contestants?

Somehow, this sounds similar to the gameshow premise of Ninja Steel. But I'm glad that it seems we're finally not getting a villain collection plot this time around (for the first time since... Gokaiger, I think?)

So I guess there are no trinkets this year and they are pushing more for multiple mechs? Unless theres a way to add layers to the cube...

Edit: speaking of mechs: https://youtu.be/UnTms3I73Y8

Its actually way cooler than I thought.

This looks more interesting than ToQ's mechs at least, though it still bugs me that the candy toy version has legs that open up while the DX version doesn't.

Overall, this is one of my favorite Kamen Rider movies right now. I thought that Mackenyu did a pretty good job for the role he had to play in the movie.

Do you mean the minipla? I think they always have way better articulation than DX, at the cost of less gimmicks obviously.

The Drive movie is the best Rider movie since the Fourze one; and also the first one since then that really took advantage of a bigger budget. Drive is a story about cars, it should have them, and the movie delivered on that (as well as being a decent movie by itself).

Which Fourze movie? Because while Everyone Uchuu Kitaaaa is good, Movie Wars Megamax is still one of the absolute best rider movies to exist.

I will agree though, Surprise Future was 100% justice and I loved every minute.

I just finished watching Surprise Future and thought it was one of the better Rider movies in recent times despite not explaining
why Krim was going nuts in the present.

IIRC it has to do with the process that Banno did to copy the Drive Driver, since the movie does take place between the episodes where Banno gets his belt form and the Medic dog episode.

Sorry, I meant to say Summer movie. Megamax still is the best Rider movie, but Surprise Future I think is the best of the Summer movies since the Fourze one.

it had some crappy cgi tho

but then again this is TOEI

The CG was good compared to other Toku stuff though. That fight with Chase and the big robot was really impressive, and the scene set in the future looked better than the same scene in Legends of Tomorrow.
