Done. Definitely going to buy some PSN credit with my target loot. Well done, supergiant.
This is my exact plan and thoughts as well.

Maybe you guys could, you know, actually read Tom Chick's review to see why he didn't like Transistor very much while he absolutely loved Bastion?
It's very convenient that he has a written review just sitting there waiting to be read so you can read it instead of making weird assumptions or guesses at what he's thinking.
The keyboard mouse controls are also listed as negative in the Gamestar review.IHe suggested using a controller over K/B.
I don't really see how a low-quality speaker pumping the narrator's voice would create the definitive edition.
No need to drop that much money on a PS4, available on Steam right now.

Restart your Steam client, will allow you to download.
I believe it will go live around 3PM Eastern, which isn't for quite a long time.
Steam version is available now.
He absolutely loved Bastion and wrote multiple pieces about how brilliant it was.
His criticism seem to be voiced in other reviews for Transistor, they apparently just bothered him more.
Exactly my predicament. Not a bad one to have!I should be playing Wolf, but instead, I'm refreshing the PS store.
Tom Chick going for hits.
It seriously couldn't have worked out any better. Now I'm free to indulge in some PSN titles and re-purchase the titles I got enjoyment out of at lower price points. Beautiful.
Physical + DD ftw. Forget that only skewing one way crap.
Dude, I don't get your weird championing of the Steam version. Yes, we know there's a Steam version. We know it's available now.
Some people are getting it on PS4. Relax.

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. *grin*

Hmm...this critique is interesting because Supergiant has described the way that they design their games. They work on the gameplay in and of itself sans any art direction for a while so that it doesn't change their perception of it. They talked about this at length in regards to Bastion's development.Just read his review and he poses some very interesting questions regarding the quality of the game. Rip-off the impressive aesthetic veneer and it seems there are some issues going on that Transistor does not execute on as boldly as the artstyle. Without playing it, I can't sympathize or agree yet, but his critiques do resonate and would bother me as well until proven. If you are a shallow enough gamer that pretty visuals and a stunning soundtrack are enough to override any potential pitfalls in other aspects of game execution, then I can see why reading the review is an unnecessary formality while stating trite opinions about the formation of his own.
Tom did have a very glowing Bastion review, possibly the MOST glowing one(arguably tainting his disappointment in Transistor further), and that was a game I felt held severe retention issues. So not sure what to think, but I am just as wary about the glowing reviews given how rare the aggregate matches with my own thoughts on releases these past few years.
Wow all those quotes lined up make him look pretty pathetic.Dude, I don't get your weird championing of the Steam version. Yes, we know there's a Steam version. We know it's available now.

It is incredible isn't it. I turned in three games for 121 dollars (Profitable) and plan on using the money towards games that truly deserve day one purchases.

People don't speak without intention, man.
Tom Chick reviews need to be left out of these threads. He's just a troll. He just wants to be the Armond White of the video game world, I feel.

Don't really see this as 'champoning'
Just giving people information. I find with many recent releases, the console version is heavily marketed by the manufacturers and many people fail to realize there is a PC version even available.
See: Titanfall, Transistor, etc.
It's up to #2 on the Steam bestsellers list. I think it's got a shot of taking the #1 slot.![]()

Ya it's all just a veiled attempt by me to force you into buying the PC version.
All that subliminal messaging will somehow suit my agenda.

So you admit you are working to dissuade people from buying it on console?
This is NeoGAF. We know about the PC version.
So by that logic you should buy every game..Only way to know if they're bad is to play them.

Which parts of his review did you feel were trolling?

It's his library of reviews. He has a history of some really off-base crap.
