Trophy Whores Only!

If we're going to argue semantics then anything subjectively versus your value system is a huge waste of time. I think not getting trophies is me finishing something forever and not looking back. I'd like if people didn't vilify us whores in an irrational diatribe of what is important to them in a vidya. Have a little beer and play Sex with Hitler, it provides value, an educational history lesson and provides a higher form of libido for fascist dictators.

The Green Rats exist. Their lives matter!

You missed the point of my post and you are debating something that I didn't talk about. Then you mentioned some weird shit about Hitler. So I am disengaging. Good luck with your trophies or whatever!

Alright, I'll admit it. When I was a kid, after many trips to the video store renting games like Megman, Turtles and Darkwing Duck, I decided to rent Barbie. Not because I had any interest in Barbie, but more for science to try and understand what the difference was between a boys game and a girls game, like what the heck did they even do in it?? What do girls play, and are they dumb for liking it? Is it a normal action game, but with a Barbie skin shooting hearts? Or some other alien female language of game I can't even comprehend? Will it be a gateway drug for my sister to become Luigi, or a bad influence to seal away lest the NES get hogged all day raising ponies?

I'm pretty sure no human being of any gender ever liked it, it was just an unplayable shitty action game that looked terrible.

I've been gaming 40 years now and had every console pretty much on release day, and I've never actively unlocked any achiement or trophy. I turn all the notifications off and just play🤷‍♂️
Is that weird?
Nope. Nor is people who do the opposite. Or people who prefer RPGs over shooters or vice versa.

There are lots of ways to game. Most likely to have some sort of goal and try to achieve it, though. Whether that's winning online matches, beating the end boss or 100%ing the game and getting the platinum trophy.

Having an active goal and working to achieve it is a big part of what seperates gaming from more passive mediums like watching a movie.
