Unlyftable rapper suing Lyft because she wouldn't fit in the car

Completely Unreasonable
If she could've fit, sure. That would've been the only way that I would've let her ride.
Yep, if I was her lawyer, I'd have checked she's capable of getting in and out of the car before taking the case. If I were her lawyer, I also know how I'd be getting her to court if it gets that far...
Well, if Lyft don't settle with her out of court, and extenuating circumstances don't come to light, it won't take long for photographs and video of her arriving at the court emerges. If she's smart, she'll get someone to driver her in a car that's the same model, year and colour as the one that she was refused entry to.
Edit : just read back what I typed in my quote. Someone to "driver her"? "It won't take long for photographs and video of her arriving at court emerges"?!

I will have to speak to my secretary about this.

No way she's fitting in a regular sedan. She's a frivolous law suit and now she's got her name out there.

Hope it's worth the extra shame you getting

This was a setup just so her broke, always hungry and stays eating could get an easy payout.

She knew she wouldn’t fit in a compact Lyft.

Honestly, you have to wonder what the specs are for suspensions for that particular vehicle. 554 lbs on one wheel could be too much anyway. Sure, there's the middle, but could you get the middle seatbelt to go over her ass? What are the force limits for seatbelts? Would it exceed specs as well?

I'd like to see a real trial where the defense is calling mechanical engineers to the stand. This could be a safety issue. Sadly, Lyft will just settle out of court.

I think that vehicle was only 800-900lbs carry capacity. For the entire vehicle. That is spread out weight, not over one poor suspension point and wheel.

And yes, Lyft will just settle, as they were hoping.

Just saw the video. Driver should've let her try to squeeze her way into there just to prove she can't fit. The lawsuit could've been avoided.

Maybe she's a 'wrapper'. Always taking the wrapper off her junk food.

You don't have to wear a seatbelt in a public transport vehicle like a bus or taxi.

I had friends that would order Ubers and put 3 kids in their no car seats needed. Its "ride at your own risk"

Lyft will cave and pay her. The Driver didn't do anything wrong except not give us the video of her trying to get in the car.
It’s a weird thing because even school busses don’t require seatbelts. I can kind of understand that if there’s a big accident and small kids are pinned in seatbelts panicking or kids whacking each other with the buckle.

But for taxis and such, I guess it depends where you live. In Ontario, passengers have to wear seatbelts just like the driver.
