Riot is still allowed to operate as they please. When character designs/other game elements need to be changed to satisfy Chinese laws, they make those changes for China only. League is filled with skulls and ghosts and a lot of other things that aren't allowed in China.

They don't care about that, but lets use TikTok as an example. TikTok isn't allowed on any phones that go into places like the Pentagon. Because the company that owns TikTok is controlled by the CCP and installing TikTok on devices with mics, cameras, and GPS instantly becomes a spying device. All TikTok has to do is remotely turn on cameras and mics and they'd have a spy inside the Pentagon. Same thing applies to any PC game that is touched by Tencent. They might not care about your pizza hut orders, but they care about using your hardware.

I have friends who work in cyber security, in Washington DC, and they've explained that's specifically why TikTok is banned from government facilities.
