The correct answer is Dante's Inferno, though.

In the tradition of last year's Terminator Salvation unveil, I imagine we'll see Game Republic's Clash of the Titans.
And one of the premieres will undoubtedly be DLC unveiling. MW2 map packs most likely.

The 2008 world premiere trailers were

Uncharted 2
Brutal Legend
Fight Night Round 4
Mafia 2
Terminator
Watchmen
GTA4: The Lost and Damned
Dante's Inferno
God of War 3
Gears of War 2 DLC

So they had some big hitters there.

Most likely on Spike's website through a Burger King® sponsored webcast.

Well, it was last year at least. They even named the cameras after Burger King meals. O_o

I'm expecting many 360/PS3/PC games, most of which are going to be shooters.

I hope I'm wrong and we see a solid lineup for every platform though.

Yes live at their website with different camera angels and in full HD.

Last year's show was awesome. LL Cool J 'performing', Busta Rhymes pondering the benefits of in-engine cutscenes, Kim Kardashian calling Dante's Inferno "like, a book, or something?"

Glorious.

lol quote and portrait. Neat!

Nice, I hope it will be much more than teaser video from E3.
I remember there was last year website with uncover boxes of new announce, maybe it wasn't VGA.

The world premiere of HALO: REACH happens only at the 2009 Video Game Awards, Live 12/12 on Spike. 4 minutes ago from Power Twitter

Now, we know where the blurry screenshots of Halo:Reach were coming from. :D

Kojima already did that.

srsly.

Where's that Star-Trek-guy-going-crazy. gif when you need it.

From the PR, start making your guesses;

The 2009 "Video Game Awards" will reveal blockbuster global premieres of never-before-seen titles and break international news with announcements of new games from the industry's leading publishers. Game companies contributing exclusive new content to the VGAs include 2K, Activision, Disney Interactive Studios, Electronic Arts, LucasArts Entertainment, Microsoft Game Studios, THQ, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, with more to be announced in the coming weeks..

I could definitely see a Dead Space 2 announcement from EA happening. Possibly a Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six announcement from Ubi. New UFC from THQ perhaps.

They treat "never-before-seen" pretty loosely. I think 2K's could be a big Red Dead Redemption trailer.

Here is a possibility for 2K; the new game from 2K Boston. They have been working on it for quite some time now I imagine.

They had something like 600k viewers last year. So a publisher gives them a trailer, doesn't have to pay for a TV commercial, and exposes its games to a large audience. I'm surprised they don't get every game in the world wanting to give them a trailer.

i'm going to stalk keigley and lock him in a cage in my basement until the twittering stops or veronica belmont falls in love with me

last year was a trainwreck.

Neil Patrick Harris not having the card with the "winner" on it and some stage hand having to shout out a title.

Never ending music performances, and then in a 3 minute montage nearly all the "awards" were given out with no mention as to who the other nominees were.

Gotta agree with JStevenson's Twitter here:
JamesStevenson: What? Spike VGAs didn't nominate MLB: The Show for best team sports game? Madden over it? Seriously? (NHL and FIFA deserve in)
Is this some kind of bad joke? This show continues to make a fool out of anyone who pays attention to it. Is it being organized by monkeys?

That would be fantastic. I'm really interested to see what they're working on.

An impressive IN-GAME Reach trailer needed methinks, to offset those shitty looking Alpha shots. No more high-artsy scrolling background shit or smoke and mirror level-graphics you'll never see in the actual game please.

I would think they are more of less forced to show some mind blowing footage to counter the leaked pictures. The trailer at the VGA's might even be a quick and forced reaction to the leaked shots, so MS can show the game from a better perspective.

Why does it need to be "countered" or "offset"? Does the French Tourism board have to trot out the REAL Eiffell tower because some mope took a crappy picture of it with their iPhone?

Did anyone take those pictures truly seriously?

Was there any meaty trailer last year? Only big announcement was MW2, a game which people knew was coming. It was hardly any surprise.
