She also mentions "differences with management/companies direction" as one of the reasons for quitting (it's actually the first thing she mentions in her announcement).

sigh, that's a shame. the original kusogaki. but from the looks of things it's just something she had decided after some internal struggling. the "differences with management direction" seems to be more of a general reasoning at this point and I won't put too much thought into that. hope she finds happiness in whatever path she takes

For what I read, my opinion is that Shion no longer sees vtubing as a viable career for her future, and adding to her personal health problems, she came to conclusion that was time to end her time in Hololive.

Maybe in the future "she" will appear as a indie vtuber, where she can stream more as a hobby than a job she has to do. And with that she will also have again the opportunity to hang out more with the former Aqua...

To be sincere, Shion graduation was the one I was expecting to be the most probable of happening this year...

been watching some of the clips of Lun Lun from Niji JP. their mascot branch of cute animal vtuber had been doing pretty well and Lun Lun is just so freaking cute.

the whole Tasheen is the evil mastermind behind everything bit is hilarious. Hachama half playing along and half actually believing it is great too. I saw another clip on this that's even longer and the other seasoned hunter girls had kept the meme going even into the high rank story. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I guess vtubers are at a point that it's mainstream enough in Japan to have these sorta things happen. good to have Kson who got some real weight on this topic to give some pointers out.

that wedding can't be cheap with all that setup. but I'm really glad that the happy couple got Suisei's blessing. she really is checking off all the things she wanted to do huh?

I thought this would be some kinda gag or prank at first too. but it turned out rather heart warming. thou for the safety of everyone in that community, please keep the baby away from using fire until she's at least 45.

This is either a hiatus (because of her throat) or a graduation. Chat is disabled and Bae has translated it (according to the vid description)

ho boy, the ID girls are on that RTX run now too :messenger_grinning_smiling:

This shit is freaking me out. This is so deep in the uncanny valley that it makes me uncomfortable and I very rarely get this feeling.

sigh... for health related reasons kinda hurts the worst since that means she probably really wanted to keep going. I had never watch Mumei all that much outside of collabs, but she definitely left a big impression. hopefully she find something else that fits her and is good for her health.

Bae and Kronii both got pretty emotional about it too.

sigh... it's sad, but I guess I'm not surprised. it doesn't seem like her heart is really there any more for a while now. maybe this just isn't the life for her. maybe she wants to go a less corporate route. in any case, I wish her the best of luck. and maybe we can see her again back on her previous life.

Calli kinda says that they're saying it as a catchall when someone is kinda unhappy with the company and it could mean everything.

So when someone adds that to their health reasons (which they can go on an indefinite hiatus for, as Gozaru is currently demonstrating and Haachama has demonstrated in the past) then there is more than just their health involved.

Everyone says something else anyway, so it's best to use some critical thinking. They're saying it for a reason and having more talents leave in 8 months than the 7 years before, then that's not normal. If everything was fine for the people who left, then this wouldn't happen. It's up to Cover to figure out what they can improve unless it's something they can't budge on (Investors won't be happy with the drop in their stock over the past 2 months)

What is concerning is that it is the 3rd EN talent over the past 2-3 months that's quitting. ID has apparently no issues at all. I find this weird, but if it stops now then I guess it's fine.

I'm probably just talking out of my butt here, but I feel this is just how things would be no matter what. a lot of the girls who joined HoloLive back then probably was not really thinking they'll become this huge multi-million follower focus of spot light, and Cover had not really focused on the whole idol thing back when they were recruited. so now, they're sudden saddled with the responsibilities and the attention from millions of fans, and keep in mind they're probably still relatively young, maybe in their mid to late 20s right now, so this could be a real burden for them if they weren't into the whole idol dream. Cover had been very tolerating in terms of giving them freedom to try new stuff and taking long time offs, so I don't think the issue is really with Cover itself. it really feels to me one of those "this was more than what I had signed up for and I don't want it any more." type of situation, at least with Gura, Ame and maybe Fauna. maybe they just want to have a small channel and stream some cozy games or chitchat with a small group of fans rather than traveling to Japan frequently to rehearse for big performances. the later gen girls had probably joined with some degree of ambition and clear goal and we likely won't see they graduating that easily. and again, like a few of the girls had said themselves, including Shion, Matsuri and Mori, the whole "difference in direction" is basically a catch-all PR term the company wanted them to say and it really doesn't mean much one way or the other. in the end, we the fans can only express our support to the bitter end. even real life idols would retire after all so this is just part of the deal. like Matsuri had once said, "support your oshi when you can, because you never know when you won't be able to any more."
