Not sure if I'll make it through though. Just started it. Quite all right so far, but the prose is a bit archaic...

I just finished it last month. One of the best books I've ever read. Great throughout and has moments that are just unbelievably amazing.

If you're reading it in English, whose translation are you reading?

Read some Yukio Mishima. Confessions of a Mask or The Temple of the Golden Pavilion are good ones to start with.
